It doesn't seem right that players can back out after seeing which hand the opposing pitcher throws with. This allows players to stack their lineups with all RH or LH hitters and only play against the corresponding pitchers. I think once the pitcher selection process is completed you shouldn't be able to back out without getting a loss!

It's a necessary evil IMO until Sony finally gives us the ability to create and save different lineups for facing LHP and RHP.

This, or to be able to ask the game to sort out lineups for you if you want to use all players from a team, players for a captain, or team type (smallball/power/balanced)

I have Yogi Berra at catcher but the game keeps insisting on throwback Sandoval or some silver dude

So cowards who don't know how to put a proper squad together can stack their team with righty specialists and then back out every time they see a lefty. It's pathetic that people do this, but that does seem to be the only reason it's on the game. Apparently having a balanced lineup and a bench with 3 or 4 lefty hitting alternatives is too hard for some people

I just set my lineup so it's the same vs both handedness, maybe just swap a spot or two. I'm too lazy to deal with that

why is it necessary? You get 5 bench spots, you can easily have a balanced team by switching out a few key players... it takes maybe 30-60 seconds to change your lineup before the game

You can get a good sense of how laggy a connection is when setting your lineup, thats why Ive backed out of games.
