Got a No-No in DD. Kinda Disappointed.

Playing DD vs. CPU in 9-inning game for missions n' whatnot. Threw a pretty epic no-hitter with Mike Montgomery of all people. Was all set to get some cool rewards, or some sort of notice that I'd accomplished one of sport's more difficult feats. I took some caps of my guys celebrating, looked over the stats one last time, and exited the game.

Popped back out on the stats screen. There was a little achievement (the same size and fanfare of the achievement I'd received for not giving up any walks the game before or for stealing a base), and... that was it. No special nameplate to put on, no cool packs, no extra Itchy n' Scratchy Bucks, nothing.

Felt like a bit of a letdown to throw my first no-no in I don't know how long and get something of a sad fart in rewards.

Maybe they're telling me that throwing a no-hitter is its own reward.

They should do something for that major accomplishment.

I guess more than anything else it feels like a missed opportunity to do something fun.

Like, I love that they're allowing you to customize your name plate or whatever with team-branded avatars. Why not do something like that with really special accomplishments? No-hitters, Perfect Games, 5-HR games, hit .400 in a season, etc.

Plus, in that instance they wouldn't even have to give out extra Stubs, those miserly Scrooges.

I agree with this. I threw about 4 of these in 16 against other players in DD and I also got nothing out of the ordinary.

It's probably to keep people from grinding out No-No after No-No against their friends to get rewards.

I've heard of people coming on here and grinding out missions together. So basically just throwing fastballs down the middle to allow Gold players to get hits etc. It happened a lot in 16' with the Arod and Ortiz missions as well. It's kind of sad if you ask me, but some people seem to not care.
