Id rather just close the application while the game loads if I dont get the right guy a few times than spend an hour pitching with a guy that has no stamina.

:shrug: If the difficult level is low, it really doesn't seem to affect them much. It's a lot easier to cheat the system for things like wins that way or just IP, but I found it to be effective. Especially if the servers are seeming slow, it takes me a wee bit of time to back out, get the "disconnect award", reset up the game, and reload, hoping the pitcher comes back up. Sometimes 3-5 times in a row. I can slog 3 innings in that time. Personal preference, I guess.

I wouldn't do it above Rookie for K's, or Veteran for IP, though. But the comp hits so poorly against anything at those levels it didn't seem to slow me down.

Currently doing the tigers team epic.. I don't "hate" this Austin Jackson card, but I sure hate this mission. Anyone have any tips for getting 30 hits quickly? Is it better to just do this in conquest?

Getting 2 doubles with Dave Winfield feels like it's going to be impossible... I get excited when he gets a single.

Hitting 3 homeruns with AS Beltran for the Cards epic has been a lot harder than i expected it would be. Before unlocking the mission i had no problems hitting them.

Edit: next game i played after coming on here i had a 3 homerun game with him to complete it lol

Rookie Dante Bichette. Needs a homerun and a double in the same game, but has power about 30 versus righties and only about 60 against lefties. I just gave up, he's not worth it

Same here. And for the life of me I cannot get 3 hits in a game with Jorge Posada's rookie card.

Currently working on getting two triples with Johnny Damon to get Ted Williams and the 5 double with Buddy Bell. Not fun at all.

Not helped by the fact that playing online seems to have crippled my ability to hit offline. I swear it's a different game offline, the ball just doesn't come off the bat the same at all

I'm with on the doubles with Buddy Bell. He's a good hitter & I rake with him but it's either home runs or long singles cause it's not in the gap or right in front of an outfielder.

I'm up to 3 with him now but I'm just a complete liability with him, constantly getting thrown out trying to stretch any single not hit straight at an outfielder into a double with no success thanks to his horrendous lack of speed.

Managed to get both triples with Damon in the same game just now, incredibly relieved. Bought the Polo Grounds, played the Giants on Vet for their mission and he hit a couple of absolute no doubt inside the park home runs that I intentionally just stopped at 3rd, even Buddy managed to get a very long double. Sold the Polo grounds after the game for a profit, all good.

Now I just need two more Buddy Bell doubles, which could take forever or one conquest game, who knows? I'm never using him again though, his running just physically hurts

Yeah if you guys need to finish a doubles or triples mission buy either Forbes field and Polo grounds(Forbes way cheaper). You'll get them pretty quick playing there.

I don't actually think Polo grounds is great for doubles, as it takes away the double down the line. Yes you'll stroll a double if you hit a gapper, but you will get a double for that anywhere. Great for triples though

Like I said it's not the stadiums so much as it's just every hit is either a grounder, single into the outfield, fly out or homer... And if it's in the gap the fielder cuts it off quick.

I've been trying to complete the Dante Bichette mission since just about the day the game came out. In all that time (maybe 100 games) he has only 1 home run, and I unfortunately couldn't get a double that same game. Any secrets on easier ways to hit a home run with him?

I also have been completely unable to do the Ken Griffey Jr. or Brandon Guyer missions, and both have become painful to me by now
