    DD Offline User Help

    Hi guys,
There may be a thread that already addresses this, but I'm starting out with DD for the first time and I only want to play vs. CPU. Are there any guides that you can point me to that have things like strategies to maximize my time in the mode most efficiently. I want to build my collection, but I don't want to spend any real money, is this possible? Thanks ahead of time for the information.
    and... BOOM goes the dynamite!

Just play conquest. It's easy, doesn't take that long, and you get some nice rewards once you're done with everything.

Check out the "Missions" section. There are many missions for playing against AI. There is an entire Epic Team sections asking you to play various teams, to collect players and to use specific players in specific situations.
There is also a Conquest mode which is awesome and fun, if you've ever played Risk you'll get a handle on it quickly.

Just play what you find most enjoyable, try to clear out as many missions, they will give you cards, stubs and XP.
You do not have to spend a single cent of real money to have fun and to build a good team.

Thanks for the advice. Also is there a strategy as to how to spend stubs? Like just buy single regular packs or save for something bigger?

That really depends on an individual. I bought a 50 pack of cards, to kickstart me and get me plenty of cards to collect and some to sell.
If you're a gambling man, save up 20K and buy a 20 pack. You might strike it rich, or more often get next to nothing. I prefer this, because opening packs is half the fun to me.
It's more sensible to just build your own team by purchasing specific players on the market. A safer way, but not as much fun for me.

Odds with packs are pretty crap, but it's still kind of an addictive fun thing. Playing the market is the best way to earn things, if you are up for doing it in volume. Might also be smart to dump all your low-level stuff in the short-term, where prices are inflated, then pick things up cheaper in a few weeks.

As for spending on certain things, that depends on what you want. I recommend trying to find a good lefty pull hitter and put him in the leadoff spot. I have Matt Carpenter up first, and I am hitting almost .450 after switching primarily to bunting on AI defense that refuses to honor it.

Getting a solid lefty specialist (I got Felipe Rivero) can be a cheap, useful investment as well.
