And I said again you're punishing the guy that does. I have done it on an alternate account because all I have is silver players. I have played stacked line ups and playing with platoon players could actually help compete against them.

You should just stop Sigmund as he isn't ever going to see that you are being logical. That is the problem with the vast majority of people in the world, they only see things from the eyes of the point of view they are in favor of.

As you said the system in place now isn't great, but is far more ideal than the crap most of us had to deal with last year. The only way to possibly fix it is to give people a loss who back out at the start screen, but as you have said, lag comes in to play, and backing out is sometimes a necessity. Thus the people who don't feel like dealing with 45 minutes of lagfest would now be the ones being punished. In every scenario one side of the argument is going to be punished. The way it is now is ideal in that it stops the borderline cheating of just stacking a lineup against the handedness of a pitcher. And i could easily do that to me benefit i have spent countless dollars on stubs, and could fill out a minimum of 4 different teams that are all diamond and gold.

But i play to have fun not to beat some poor guy into submission with a bunch of right handed hitters because i am 100% certain he is starting a lefty. I don't see how that would be fun to anyone except children, trolls and adults who lack real world social skills that need to get off by griefing on a game. Yet these demo's make up a not insignificant portion of the player base so that is exactly what would happen if we were allowed to see the pitcher, just like last year.

And to the other guy. Horrible horrible horrible statement in regards to the "well it will only take 30 seconds to a minute to back out and find another game". First off it is just blatantly false. If SDS didn't have servers that were made in 2002 then it would be a little closer to the truth, but that isn't the case. Also many of us are indeed people that have responsibilities in life. A few minutes are precious to people like me who don't have 6+ hours to game most days.

I agree with most of what is being stated on both sides here. I understand people will exploit anything they can. That's why I think there should be the option if your playing OFFLINE vs CPU to have multiple lineups (consisting of the same 25 man roster). I know it won't happen because the game is geared more towards online but for a person like me who doesn't ever play online I'd like to be able to have an idea what I'm up against and play against a DH lineup if I'm facing the American League.

Again, I understand why it's not like that and really it doesn't bother me too much. But it is unfortunate that it has to be that way.

I get why you can't do it. But what I would like, is the option to select your pitcher vs CPU. If I have a pitcher challenge, It'd be nice to be able to use him, instead of relying on RNG to give me him instead of Scott Feldman 7x in a row.

Was people backing out from facing a LHP really that game breaking to change it though ? I couldn't careless if someone backed out , i just went to search match and got another match moments later. I liked the idea of having platoon guys and using different lineups instead of the same lineup every game.

Nothing is stopping you from using different lineups, this actually encourages that for most people. I constantly change my lineup day to day and even multiple times a day

If I knew Id never have to face a certain handedness from a pitcher because I could just back out, why would I ever change me lineup?

Re: Seeing What Pitcher You're Facing on Lineup Screen

The fix is to put multiple line ups into the game. I'm not arguing for or against, I'm just stating that the points that are being used are countered by what I'm saying but that's not bieng listened to either except by one person so not sure what point you are trying to make there. Also, I timed it. I backed out from a game, 1 minute and 30 second later I was into a line up screen. Is it like that all the time? Probably not. Higher ranking, again probably not which is why it was posed as a QUESTION and not a statement of fact.

I'm not good enough at the game to warrant any kind if change, left or right it doesn't matter to me but it would be nice to have my line up in a platoon situation like a lot of teams do in real life. That's my point
