Re: What are you working on thread

Thanks to the people at the Reddit forum, I was alerted to the fact that Diamond Joe Carter and Gold Kenny Lofton were fairly easily attained from the collection programs, and that quickselling or exchanging the souvenirs would recoup part of your investment. It actually turned out better than that. I spent 40K on the bobbleheads to get Carter, and quicksold them back for 30K. Then I spent about 25K on the baseball autographs to get Lofton, exchanged them for 30 gold jersey packs (90 jerseys total), and made about 35K profit off of those. So I essentially spent 0 stubs to get Diamond Carter and Gold Lofton for the all-Indians squad.

With those outfield additions, Diamond Matt Kemp is off the squad and my starting lineup, rotation and bench are entirely Indians. The bullpen will remain a mishmash of elite arms because there just aren't enough good Cleveland players to put in the pen. I'm way further along on this quest than I ever thought I'd be at this point, and I'm ready to start playing online when the new ranked season starts. Hopefully the grind has been worth it!

Completed the Gary Carter missions and finished all available Piazza missions. I hope I don’t have to wait until July or August for the last “Coming Soon” Piazza mission. Want unlock that immortal card.

Almost finished with my CAP 2B first Diamond missions and should unlock the second focus upgrade.

Nearly done with Nolan Ryan gettng close to that immortal

            Trying to finish (close)
            Axford mission

They really should release at least half the immortals by the end of June, but IMO some should be completable by now. I guess they're doing what they can to keep people engaged as long as possible but August seems like it's usually that month that they lose people to other games.

Just unlocked the second focus upgrade for 2b CAP no more trade ins or games vs other teams just 2 different stat based missions with your CAP to reach 100%.

So I’m trying to grind stats so I’m playmg bad teams on Rookie. Mind you I can’t renumber the last time I’ve given up more than 1 run, usually shut outs against CPU rookie let alone lost. Today the CPU on rookie was playmg like HOF. The CPU pitcher was painting corners and I just kept hitting balls right at them. Their fielders were making highlight reel plays. Their batters were hitting bombs and drawing walks. I went 2-2 against the CPU today on Rookie losing to Detroit and the A”s. It was kind of funny to watch but I didn’t grind the stats I hoped. Perhaps it was a fluke or perhaps it’s becayse my entire team from top to bottom consisted of players involved in missions. I’m starting to find the CPU plays better when missions are involved....am I nuts to think that?

This is absolutely a fact I don't care what anyone thinks!!!

This is when the CPU becomes a psychic, unstoppable monster:

-Need a walk? That 6th pitch on a 3-2 count is always straight down the middle
-Need a double? Nah this bitch going over the fence every time you get good wood on it
-Need that complete game shutout in the last inning? Prepare to face 8 straight Jesus Christs with a bat
-Trying to get a steal? LOL

Definitely frustrated. I've grinded and flipped like crazy for two months, I've finally got my team stocked with Indians, and even saved over 100K stubs...but no Albert Belle to be found. No new Indians at all. Is it too much to ask for a Diamond CC, Cliff Lee, Bartolo, Lofton, Alomar, Alomar Jr, Thome, Ramirez, or Sizemore?! I thought I'd be happy to have a breather from the grinding, but now I realize I kind of like it. Give me something to do, SDS!

I just started playing ranked seasons to end this month and went 4-0 against some bad teams and players, so now it's time to start fresh in June and see if I can make a run to the higher levels. I might even try a little BR or blow some stubs on some packs in my endless quest to pull a Diamond. Gotta keep the juices flowing!

Just want to say that the Homer Bailey Breakout card is the worst strikeout pitcher I've ever had the displeasure of using. 5 complete game shutouts, 17 strikeouts.
