New to DD and no Stubs

Finally tried DD and am enjoying the single player part of it. What is the best way to earn Stubs/players besides flipping cards? After about 30 hours I have like 700 stubs. Seems like I had a ton in last year's game that I never used.

Start with conquest and knock out some of the missions that are available.

30 hours and 700 stubs? What exactly have you been doing?

Sell the commons you aren't using on the market using sell orders. You should get probably 50-100 stubs per terrible card and you get one at the end of each game. That's where the real money for playing games comes from, as you get next to nothing otherwise.

Like NDAlum said, complete conquest. You'll pick up some good cards for missions while doing it, you can knock out a lot of the team epic first missions in the process and pick up a bunch of cards after games that you can sell, then at the end you'll get a 10 pack which will almost definitely have Mike Trout in it (it won't, but welcome to the pack journey).

Also make sure you've got the free cards that come with the immortal/career arc/team epic programs as they'll be useful in conquest and you can get some good rewards for completing their missions. Most team epic ones are very simple, some of the immortal/career arc ones will take some grinding so it might be worth making notes about what you need with each player. Always look to have as many mission related players in your team at once to maximise your gains

You get almost no stubs from actually playing this game anymore unfortunately. Go figure right? Missions give considerably less stubs as well this year. Your only real bet to build a decent amount of stubs now is playing the market, which I cant be bothered to do.

To make matters worse, even if you do start building up stubs, youll just be spending that incrementally on souvenirs to complete missions.

            Thanks for all the tips.

Do all players have associated missions or just certain ones?

only certain players. Look through the programs to see which players have them (and get a bunch of free players). Every team epic gives you a free player with a mission attached, about half of the immortals and position arcs give a free player and most of them have missions that use certain players (Jackie Robinson has one that requires tallying stats with Dodgers for example, Babe has one that requires stats with the free Impact Veteran Babe Ruth card)

like others have said, play the market. I just go by position, and go to the lower tier cards and put in buy orders on anything that has a +100 or more stub difference. Those seem to sell the quickest in my experience. If you do 20 buy orders for these and actually acquire 10, after selling, that's 1000 stubs right there. After putting in buy orders, I'll go play a couple conquest games or such and whatever buy order hasnt went through, i cancel it and then start doing sell orders on what I just bought.

Also, since you're like me and only play offline, if you get a diamond, sell it. I acquired Diamond Correa in a daily login reward and sold him for 75kish stubs. Between that and what I acquired playing the market, Ive got more than enough stubs to do alot of programs. You wont need that diamond anyway. Ive had good success with a team full of silvers and golds on All Star difficulty and below.

Yeah selling the golds and diamonds we'll get you some cash real quick and you get more than enough diamond legend cards that you can keep to have some better players if you want to

Thanks all. Got the hang of it all. Having a blast w the programs. I am 45 so playing w the late 70s and 80s players from when I grew up has been fun. Staying in the 15k stub range. Flip cards when I need more. I would like to have all the Astros just to have them. Saving up for Altuve and Correa while I work on the legends. Wish I had gotten this deep years ago. Best game ever.

Do the rewards get better with level increases or just difficulty. Been playing HOF.

Level increases allow you to "purchase" better cards from the ticket counter (quotes because you can't literally buy the tickets you use there, you earn them from completing programs).

Winning on higher difficulties give you a better chance for a more valuable card, but the chance is still pretty small (10% for a gold on Legend, and the chance for a Diamond is 0.10% -.20% regardless of difficulty)

                        Thanks to all, greatly appreciated.

I am finally sitting on abt 60K Stubs. Should I buy packs or flip high end cards? If flipping is the way to go which ones are best? Any with the largest disparity of buy/sell?

                        Flipping posey for now.

Buying pack, IMO, is never the answer.

yeah do not buy packs....i mean one or two here or there for fun is ok, but that's it. It's amazing that people will drop thousands upon thousands of stubs on packs knowing that packs are almost always filled with nothing but commons and bronze level players. You'll accrue far more must playing the market.
