Finally managed to hit the homer with Goldy after about 45 minutes of trying. The reality is that I'm not even happy that I've done it, it wasn't fun at all, it wasn't that I got any better or did anything different, the game just randomly decided this time was my time and gave me a homer.

Really can't stand this mode, if there was literally any other content then I can't imagine I'd be putting myself through this nonsense.

This signature series vs streamer over 9 innings is probably the dumbest **** I've played. The signature series cards are too overpowered for veteran difficulty and the streamers cards are complete dog ****. No pinch hitters for us but there is for them, perfect for late game situations 🙄. Gives us bronze bullpen arms plus Kimbrel to pitch to 99 overalls 🖒.

Why these guys have a whole program dedicated to them with the headliner pack as a reward is baffling. The whole moments thing was cool to begin with but this is just taking the piss now.

I have decided the moments are stupid and not worth my time. March to October or conquest is all I am playing now.

Terrible idea, fire the developer who came up with that stupid mode.

Oh and if that Andruw Jones mission is on veteran, I am a hairy baboon!

Does feel really good going back to conquest after playing moments on "veteran" though. The game plays in slow motion and my bats have rockets in them

I can’t believe there are people still saying moments are no different from other game modes.

Do these people not have eyes?

Batting is suppressed in moments, power nerfed, and the AI pitches on the edges or just throws balls and walks you.

So you don’t get anything to hit and if you do try to hit anything it does not go anywhere.

Then you leave moments and play any other mode and batting feels fine.

There is no way the sds devs play test these moments and don’t notice this.

The pitch speed and timing window is the most glaring difference tbh. I swing and miss all the time in moments, pretty much 10 times as often as on the same difficulty in any other mode.

I don't think it's a matter of the devs not knowing about it, they've done it deliberately and for some reason are feeling the need to blatantly lie about it. I don't really get why, just put them on HoF or All Star if you want them to be this hard, don't really get the point in the deception of claiming this isn't heavily altered

In 4 games for the Yelich moment the AI did not throw one ball in the vicinity of the strike zone to me lol. What's the bet when a walk is required for one of these moments the AI will pound the strike zone.

Tyler O'Neill myst have 2000 contact and 2000 vision. I have never thrown a pitch he didn't hit in this Hader moment. It's been an hour without ever facing Fowler after a strikeout


EDIT: I do the Russel Martin one as a joke, and of course I strike out the side on 10 pitches

This one is a joke especially when the umps never give you any calls on the black. The 2 strike hitting from bronze cards is infuriating.

Started the Topps moments.

First one was the Yelich 4XBH in 4 games. You get 4 at bats a game so you are looking at 16 at bats. I was walked twice in each game so that left me 8 at bats to get 4 XBH. I did manage to hit a solo HR in each game to get by but the walks are so annoying.

Second moments is Bruce Harper. 2 HR in 3 games. First game 4 at bats walked 3 times in a row then I hit a bomb caught against the wall. Second game walked twice, ground out and another bomb caught on the warning track....8 at bats 6 of them walks. I didn’t even try gane 3 I’m just so tired of it.

These moments may have been conceived with good intentions but they translate into the most boring, frustrating, and least fun experience ever delivered by SDS.

In addition to my rant in the post above these Sony Partner Moments are the worst. It’s awful have to play as and against these guys....I mean really? Instead of playing as MLB stars were playing as twitch stream players? I find it rather embarrassing that SDS even put them in the game. It goes to show you how much sway and influence these twitch streamers have over games these days and I dare say it’s ruining the industry

It's definitely not ruining the industry, these streamers help people get more engaged and that's really what they're after.

With that being said....I don't think this crap belongs in the game, at least in April when the game just came out.

Good point....I mean the missions are fairly easy I just have the last one to earn the pack which is what I’m after. Doesn’t appear we gain any star points from them which is odd I seem to get them from everything else

Just finished the last Sony Partner missio and in my pack I got all commons and 1 silver.....kick in the nads. I really hope that’s the last of those. I don’t know who thought it would be fun to play as complete strangers nobody knows against a team of 99 MLB legends. I loved not having any pinch hitters too.

I was so happy I won that game 4-2 on my first try haha. It was so nerve racking pitching to that team.

The Sony partners missions were super dumb but at least they were easy. Finished all of them in about 90 minutes.

Totally random comparison but it’s like going back to normal difficulty in Diablo with your level capped guy who can run nightmare solo. There’s certainly a level of fun to just demolishing everything you see haha
