So I have been slowly picking up Cardinal players but out of the more expensive ones I had only picked up Flaherty and Goldschmidt, passing on Miller because over 3,000 stubs for a low gold reliever, even a lefty seemed a bit too much.

Today, I earned my first pack for 9 logins (thanks double dailies) and low and behold the last card is a gold card. I flip that sucker and sure enough, it is Miller! Score.

I slot him in to my lineup and go play a stronghold game in conquest against the White Sox on veteren difficulty, beating them 7-0. I get to the post screen reward and I am shocked to see a diamond card listed there. It is only the second time in my years of playing that I remember seeing that. I decide to remove the cards one at a time to see how long the game was going to tease me but when I get down to 2 cards the diamond is still there. I remove the last card and I am shocked that I earned the diamond.

Aw man, I saw Acuna in a post-Conquest reward slate and my heart stopped, but I didn't get him. I feel like if you see diamonds in those there's a decent chance you're being blessed with it, but alas.

Just got a Pete Alonso from the event 30 win 5 pack. Selling him will let me complete the Yankees and get that All Star Giambi.

Ripped a batch of the new Headliners and got 2 golds in one pack and that's it.

Cracked a bundle and pulled 2 Kirby Yates and a Flaherty. Within the last couple packs I pull the Rollins from the Headliner lmao.

Flipping one of the Yates and gonna put Rollins in the lineup for now. Probably gonna start RS within the next week or so and wanna see how he plays. He's a pretty good card and not sure when a SS will drop that really pushes him for top spot. I have Bregman already who I was playing at SS. Was gonna put the 83 Chipper at 3B and keep Bregman at SS, but that Chipper card sucks. Basically Jeff McNeil stat wise with a little lower power vs LH. If anything I might drop McNeil from the bench for Chipper as a bench bat.

I finished up conquest and in the 10 pack I got one diamond, Hader...and 1 gold player, Andrew Miller.

I had pulled Bagwell diamond last night out of a pack. Put Goldy on the bench....

New to Diamond Dynasty. I’m a fan of Tommy Pham & get a chance to choose him in a gold pack, but another choice is JD Martinez. Would it be dumb to pass on JD.

Yes. You can take Martinez and sell him and buy 5+ Tommy Phams

I'd sell him now if you aren't using him. As time goes on, there will be more pulled and better cards will come out. You can pull them out of regular packs and the new Headliners that come out so there will be more and more.

Made my way back up to 75k and bought another bundle. Pulled the Baez ritual, some decent golds and JT Realmuto, who were all sold straight away to get to another 75k bundle. Which had nothing in it, like 4 golds, all cheap ones.

Officially broke again. Stupid packs, why must I love you so much when you show me nothing but pain?

Opened 2 Headliner packs. Nailed Ketel Marte. Sold off immediately and made about 13k profit.

I'll take that every day of the week.
