I believe he's planning on doing more, he mentions it it the video.

The tips still don't make up for the miserable hitting slumps I get into. Lol

Yeah he’s a really good hitter you can tell from the video. Probably plays on a monitor evidently that is super helpful. Just keep practicing! I beat the NL Central again today and now maxed out the Pirates Affinity at 70.

Watching these types of guys play and hit makes me want to go buy a 24 to 32 inch monitor so i can be better. LOL

But then like he said in the video, he cant help you at the plate. My problem is i just swing at bad pitches and i know they are bad. Thats my fault, not the game, not the hitting set up etc.

Monitors do help, not the be all end all but they do help. I don't currently play on one right now but always did in the past. The tv I have isn't bad response wise for a tv but not on the level of even a cheap monitor.

I've always been a franchise player and used pure analog to hit. This is my first year in DD and I switched to zone hitting. There are times when I absolutely rake with it but still get into some big slumps with it right now.

My Showdown curse continues. This one was brutal. After hearing the AL Central SD was easier, and watching the video, I decided to give it a shot. Won every moment and the 1st showdown. Had 9/15 runs going to the 2nd showdown. I debated skipping it because I drew Walter Johnson, but decided to give it a shot to improve my team. Score 5 runs with 20 outs. Easy peasy, even against Walter.

Nope. Couldn't square that guy up. Scratched out 4 runs. Had the bases loaded with 3 outs remaining. Pop up. Line out. Fly out. Done.

              Argggghhhh!!!

I see this mode is still rigged for the 2nd Inning too. I don't care what anyone says. It's rigged.

The CPU makes Gold Glove diving catches EVERYTIME! They catch balls at the wall EVERYTIME! They get a double play on you in the most convenient time EVERYTIME! They NEVER make errors.

And don't get me started on the bosses themselves. That's a whole other rigged coding right there. Every single try I have done on this has ended with me losing to a mini boss with the score tied. Once the score is tied CPU God Mode is turned up even further.

Oh, Perfect-Perfect timing on a pitch right down the middle? Flyout, ground out, double play, foul ball.

It's 100% like a crane machine in an arcade. You only win after soooo many attempts.

                ****ing RIGGED!

The high and mighty Sony Partners don't have rigged DD games. It's always setup for them to win so they can make their little videos and brag about how fantastic they are. It's all a ploy to get more people to play DD.

Are there multiple final bosses in 2nd Inning Showdown? I want to know since that will help me draft accordingly.

It was Feller for me. Pretty sure I’ve seen it can also be David Price.

Don’t know if this is a glitch but just did the 2nd inning showdown and 2nd boss was Shane Bieber and had 13 outs to take lead in a 0-0 game. Needless to say if it’s like this everything that’s an easy diamond to your team for the showdown and silver pack.

Edit: went on to the final against David price and won. So glad to start this 2nd inning with a jump. I failed atleast 6 attempts on the final boss of 1st inning and gave up since I was able to hit 300 points anyway to get one off the boss cards from other things. Patience really is the key seems like the bosses throw 1 good pitch per at bat so you just gotta wait on it.

Managed to win 11/12 so got to face David Price needing only 2 runs, which we made short work of. Just can't stand the mode though, so glad to have it out of the way for another 20 days.

Incredibly annoying that they've pretty much built the entire game around it by making it's reward so huge and everything elses so small. I swear I average one star per every 2 conquest games I play, while this just throws 75 at you making it almost essential. Then because it's essential, everyone will play it and they'll look at the data and think it's great because everyone plays it. Same for Mto tbh, my time on that is pretty high so if they just look at the data they'll think I like it, when in reality I strongly dislike it but there just isn't anything else to do offline. Their obsession with the data and talking to a handful of fanboy streamers is what's led the game to where it is imo
