I’m not going to go off on Trout-like ratings for these kids.  I love prospects.  But half these guys aren’t making it big, and I would have preferred to see the real top prospects get the Future Star cards.  Having the top prospect in baseball at 91 feels like a waste now.

The only face of the franchise I have is Molina so I will continue on to get Gorman.

Not sure if I will invest the time any more in any of the others, especially if I can figure out how to hit off Brusdar Graterol in the NL Showdown

I mean this isn't new they did "future stars" in previous years as well, they just blew it out this year and did it earlier than usual.

Trout will get his eventual 99 overall card etc. Which isn't to make anyone believe this is okay or not, just that it's not shocking to me.

Yeah I agree. Not hating but I’m not really interested in these prospect cards.

That's good to know because Graterol was kind of nasty with his high velocity FB and Sinker and 100 h/9 rating keeping me from making good contact. Lots of ground outs and weak fly balls in that attmempt.

So I've done the NL one twice and had Brown (RHP) from the Brewers and Rolison (LHP) from the Rockies. Both are fairly easy.


Graterol does sound much tougher.

Add another NL final boss to the list: Reds Nick Lodolo a lefty. He’s 95 overall. The ball comes out of his hand awkwardly too.

Seems pretty obvious that every future stars pitcher from affinity 2 is an option at this point.

Possibly so. I’m tracking it as I do it each time. Crazy how many different possible blue missions there are. Had Rollie Fingers as a 2nd boss too for the first time. All other times have been Maddux/Smoltz/Glavine.

"Prospects" seem like they were chosen more to balance the game in certain respects rather than on real world merit.
-Strong pitchers 90% with sinkers to add some options for people to pick pitchers other than Kluber.
-Lefty bats to counter heavy right handed pitcher use in RS and events.
-High fielding ratings to counter feel of fielding right now.
-High contact high vision low power guys to counter HR derby
-Mostly infield positional players to balance heavy depth of outfield pool right now.

I have noticed all the FS pitchers seem to have sinkers.
