It's a byproduct of the pack he's in. Folks drop the 35K stubs to get the 180K card (Banks, Chapman, etc.). When Murphy shows up with Salvie and the rest, people sell the card to recoup their losses. Just a byproduct of over-saturated supply and less demand, even more so that the lefty-only event just concluded.

I got him with my second pack after landing Banks, and played him for a dozen games at first over Giambi. I couldn't unlock his power, so I sold him, but if you have a hole at second and don't want to grind for Brujan, you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Card price does not correlate to the quality of the card (and neither does OVR).

Daniel Murphy is consistently one of the "glitchier" cards in the game. Big hot zone, easy swing to time and a pull hitter.

That said, do NOT sleep on the Rod Carew at 2B. He's more costly (around 40k last I checked) but god bless it, he's really good.

I have no power with good carew but back when I really sucked I consistently got hits and doubles with carew more than anyone buy maybe the show 19 Harper. I'd like to try that carew card but saving stubs for collections

I got brujan and 99 Jackie I can use at 2nd anyway

I packed him and gave him about a dozen or so games. Hit .215 with one HR. He’s more valuable when I need Nats innings than selling for cheap. Card is terrible for me.
