Thanks for once again reminding this Cubs fan how stupid it was to nontender Kyle Schwarber. Great job, Cubs!

Him having a great June doesn’t make the Cubs’ decision wrong.

Yep. Although sad, because Theo stood by Schwarbs through the dark days when he sucked HARD. Still one of the most fun rookie campaigns of all time, and those HR he hit in the playoffs were legendary.

Finally ended up benching Piazza. This card is daffy nuts and even with the defensive hit he's still better than Piazza. Adds more LH balance to my line-up, too, which is something that's been nagging me all year. With so many LHP I don't want a ton of LHH, but sliding him in there with Ortiz and Finley (for now) feels more balanced. Moved Ortiz down to 6th and suddenly I just feel better about overall line-up construction.

I'll be grabbing all the bosses as usual eventually but definitely taking Murray. That'll slide Ortiz to the bench and replace Reggie as my second LH pinch-hitter with Thome. And then things will be in chef's kiss territory.

I'll still lose my damn mind if we get Mark Teixiera at some point this year.
