      Great article as usual!

      For offline guys like me, there’s no way to get Clemente without going online or beating showdown. Being a Pirates fan, I’d said I’d give showdown a try. I played every mission and got to final down 20-13 and lost 20-20. I tried one more and the first boss was a total d bag and lost right out the gate. So I bit the bullet and went online and you need 5 wins. 3 games in and I was reminded why I don’t do this. Two guys started relievers (eck and dibble) and every team was almost identical. Same stuff, pauses, junk pitches, HR in dirt balls, all my normal hang ups. (Not here for an online lecture, it’s just not for me) Since there’s no exchange, I think I’ll fall short at 98 or 93 (cause I got ten online Yankees hits)

          If you play enough event games you'll win 5 eventually. You'll adjust to the differences enough even if it isn't fun.

          I also wouldn't be surprised if they add an exchange eventually. Maybe not anytime soon but they did that with Jackie last year and this is basically the same program.

              I started field of dreams program and just need 3 hits for Robinson and one more field of dreams event win.
              Do I now have no chance at 99 Clemente is the event is now over?

                  The event is over now, yes. You still have all the various missions offline as well as the Conquest map and Showdown. And the handful of moments.

                      I did online pitching mission, conquest map, moments and offline missions and didn’t have to do that disgusting showdown.

                      There is also a small chance they add an exchange now that the event is over.
