Well to piggy back the weekend classic 5-1, I kept playing a bit to try and stay first in my leaderboard but the board keeps changing lol. That lead me to play a few more games and I ended up making the World Series and snagging Pedro. I didn't have to wait for the rewind pack this time since I haven't been playing a ton online. Thanks, Ramone!

Welp, finished the Ted Williams collection. Needed about 234k in cards (that was after I completed the Summer program collection). I just did some Pipeline DQ and a few Summer DQ's and sold off all of those over and over until I got the stubs, bought what I needed and collected Ted.

Now I'm 42k away from Bryce Harper retro card. Back to DQ.

      Update: We have acquired Harper.

I guess now I move onto trying to collect Santana, but we are 11 cards away from him. That's around 180k.

      Update: We have acquired Santana.

The flash sale announcement had me hold my DQ stubs and glad I did, easily finished off the Santana collection because of the April spotlight flash sale pack dropping the prices of everyone. Thank you, Ramone!

I know we have had a drop off here in general prior to the forum change over, but have the regulars in here get burnt out on the DD grind?

I went through a quick phase, but oddly DQ sucked me back in with being able to just fill out that Pipeline map, get 8-10 regular packs, plus 4 silver or so, and 13 bronze packs etc, along with all 4 cards basically 99.9% of the time. I also switched controllers to a game sir, my scuff kind of crapped the bed, and I also changed the swing button from analog flick back to buttons, but remapped the A button to the back right paddle and what a difference it has made for me. Early basically on everything initially and now raking the ball in general on Legend without issues. Which I could hit before, but sometimes it was a battle and now so much better. Crazy.

Wow, I'm shocked at how inactive this section has become. This can't just be explained by the OS update...have to assume a lot of the staple members burnt out on DD.

I've dipped my toe back in this week after 2+ months off, with a focus on just running Conquest using my all-Nationals squad. I played a few moments earlier today, thinking I might try catching up on some programs (very slowly).

The reversion back to innings programs and relative lack of time-locked content is really nice for taking long periods of time off. That said, the pleasure of having lots of content to play and no particular rush to grind it out is making me wonder if the ideal way to play DD is to wait until the absolute end of the content cycle, with the final roster updates and program releases.

Yeah, the drop off was already in the works in here but the forum change over finished us off I guess.

I'm currently all caught up with everything, all programs done, all cards collected. Legit have nothing to do, so much so I started playing Diablo 4 again with a buddy for something different, along with CFB26.

I am not playing nearly as much this year. been enjoying other games and playing when I feel like it and not feeling obligated to keep up with every content drop. I got tired of rarely playing with players I wanted to play with because the latest content drop always seemed to force me to use a custom squad to get it done.

I have spent more time in the last month or two testing AI Programming and coming up with a web based reporting app for all DD Cards. https://the-show-scout-918757871828.us-west1***n.app/

In the end though I will say that this forum is not the one I think about first when I think about having discussions about DD mode. It has always felt like it's inclusion has always been begrudgingly granted (hidden in it's own sub forum). If I also played Franchise then I would visit more often because this has always felt like a franchise first forum with the other modes treated more like an annoyance.

I am almost 100% complete on the Live Series Collection. The only card I am missing.........Aaron Judge. (UGH!!!) I had to buy Shohei for 320,000 stubs and Judge will cost me another 350,000. That takes a while to accumulate when you don't spend money!! It has been really fun to try it.

I also have every program but the Sammy Sosa one, Easter Egg, and the Jackie Robinson one completed. Working on the Sammy one as all I have left are the moments, although hitting Home Runs for Moments is the Worst. I also just have the One Easter egg challenge of 6 hits in Diamond Quest and a double by the slowest player in Play Now. 2 areas I don't play much in. For the Jackie Robinson, I just need to spend time doing the Storylines.

I would say that this year has been the most fun I've had with DD. I like the quick games (15 minutes) and it allows me to learn and play with many players who I have never even heard of. I used to be Franchise only player, but DD is my favourite thing right now.

The newest Miniseason (Run It Back) is the best way to rack up packs/stubs now, easily. It’s now my go-to when I’m between programs and don’t feel like trying to grind out triples in the Polo Grounds.

Still have to get that Whitey Ford card from DQ, but after that I’ll have earned the Donaldson collection card.
