Disliking how many pitching moments are 3 Ks in one inning. These are just pure RNG and always seem to result in the last batter swinging at a pitch out of the zone and managing to put it in play.

I feel that in general they made these first few programs (Spring Breakout and Pipeline) a little too grindy and difficult and that New players may get frustrated trying to go through them.
      • The pipeline moments are difficult
      • The pipeline Diamond Quest odds are pretty bad at lower difficulties. It is like a 50/50 chance at veteran difficulty (depending on how well you do in challenges) to even get the rare card.
      • The Spring Breakout showdown is no cakewalk. I have failed it like 5 times.
      • The Spring Breakout Team Missions will require stats with teams when a lot of players just won't have enough cards to do them. Shoot I got the Dig. Deluxe packs and 15 twitch packs and I still only have 1 position player from Detroit. That player has 50/36 power and I need to get 15 XBH with Tigers.

I think DD will frustrate a lot of new players trying it out for the first time. The grinds added to the difficulties of the Moments and such will kill many people's motivation

I think I'm also doing a scattershot approach this year so far. I've spent my time playing and just making progress where it happens - playing a little bit of mini-seasons for CC, a little bit of the Cactus conquest map, a little diamond quest, and a little bit of BR.

I think the only think I finished yesterday was the Marlins collection to pick up Rob Nen. I'm planning on tackling the Cubs next because Greg Maddux was one of my favorite players, and think I'm going to stick in the NL Central and work on Ted Simmons.

I really, really want that Ted Simmons but have no idea when I will be able to afford Skenes, Tucker and Elly. I think last I checked you could plan about 100K for the three of them if you were lucky.

Hopefully their prices go down but you never know with the gatekeepers.

4 seamers up and in then sliders low and away out of the zone

Hitters almost always seem to make contact with sinkers

All three USA maps done now
              Breakout plus pipeline done
              All three player programs done
              A few diamond quests done
              Starter program done
              100% of all moments done
Doing team affinity silvers in USA map and I guess I'll do that cactus map next... No idea how far I am in team affinity but I did get Todd helton bc of ubaldo and dollander use

Diamonds I've been okay lucky with.... Freeman, Kristian Campbell, acuna, gray... I think that's it. Sold them all for trout and still have 25k left. Will target the al to get clemens and worry about the nl later.

Now the grind will slow down substantially since work starts again Monday 😢

Brutal grind for me so far. Gave up on Diamond Quest since I lose so many challenges since I can’t hit - between the players being so much worse than the end of 24 (normal), and my gaming TV being broken (I’m therefore playing with 35 fewer inches of screen as a result), I just can’t hit at all. Trying to do the pipeline moments is killing me.

I’m loving all the content options, it’s just so hard to make progress in a meaningful way that I’m getting frustrated. I’ve completed the Jimenez and starter programs so far, plus the NL Storylines. I was going to do the DQ first to get players to held grind the programs, but that’s been a failure so far. I guess Conquest is my best option to avoid the Clemens/Fernando/Skenes level pitchers from the DQ challenges.

Just need to get my timing down to hit and make peace with the total lack of power on my roster. I know I’ll get there, it just really sucks right now.

This is anecdotal but against the cpu I def feel like all star is playing like hof and veteran is playing like all star

Seems breaking pitches are breaking later, the strike zone seems larger to me and I'm often reading 4 seamers as breaking pitches for some odd reason. I've played ALOT so maybe my eyes are just ****ing with me.

I also feel late on everything and I use the leg kick for timing. I've played fine but I def feel like I've noticed the above alot in 25 compared to 24

This is a weirdly annual thing, too. It feels like launch content is always more difficult and grind-y, then people complain and SDS adjusts to a sweet spot. But the next year it's a grind again.

That's my usual strategy, but when you need 3 Ks in one inning only, any of those sliders getting poked to 1B on a desperation swing or the high inside FB getting popped up will screw you over!

Feeling late on everything is right. Might the refresh rate on my old TV partly doing this to me.

I’ve got a full roster of 80+ overall cards now, but am having to lean on Captain Buck and the NL cards more than I’d like to. Am hoping that the pipeline program and conquest rewards give me a better MLB roster of hitters for TA purposes.

I feel no urgency this year to do anything but back again with my usual Mets Theme Team. I have 38/40 Live Series, need Soto and Lindo. I'm around 120k into the Mets TA. I would have Soto/Lindor but I didn't put in my usual $150 in stubs on opening night because there is legit no need or advantage to doing so anymore. I'll snag them soon.

Conquest Maps, Batter ups all done, and 1 game left on the West Map. Very sad they broke up the US Map, was one one of my favorite things to do at launch. It's now dumbed down and easier to do but whatever.

I've done all 3 Diamond Quest Boards, still need a few cards from them. It was alright at first, but it ended up being meh for me.

Started a Mini Season, just 1 game into it.

Clearly put some time into the game a bit yesterday but when I loaded up PGA 2K25 to shoot our society rounds it was a breathe of fresh air.

Hope everyone has some fun with MLB 25 DD this year! Despite its whatever this game is bar far one of the best polished sports games we can play.
To your point about the combined mulltiplayer program …

I’ve never gone flawless. I played events religiously for the two cards per event. Should I just be playing Ranked now if I just want to play more efficiently?

I've been struggling with hitting on all star in conquest. Have been using ambush

Quit using ambush and put up 12 runs in 2 innings

Maybe ambush really penalizes pitches outside that zone alot, maybe coincidence?

I got lucky last night and pulled Harper in a pack. Sold him for 63K.

I think that now gives me enough to get the gate keepers for the NL central so that Ted Simmons card will possibly be in my lineup in a few more days.

I really do too. He's from that golden era for me, and being a new legend helps with appeal.

I did a couple of runs on diamond quest and sold everything I got and was able to knock off everything but Skenes in the NL Central. Hopefully see a little bit of a price drop and give me something to work towards now.
