Re: Some Tips on Determining a Pitcher's DURABILITY and STAMINA

Can we get a sticky on this post please?... It took me sometime to find this post and this post discusses one of most important factors of helping this game get better. I agree with you guys on the need for adjustments in the pitcher stamina/durability. This I believe is something that SCEA folks could adjust for us if we make enough of a plea in regards to its importance in relaying a more accurate baseball simulation. I also think that it should be sticked so that it can be seen by more people in hopes of more testing as well.

I will begin my own experiments in relation to this testing to help accelerate the process. Thanks

Thank you SCEA, for adopting my ideas for a Playoff feature and eventually an 'online franchise'. No credit needed to be given... I am just happy you are working towards it...

What are you saying? You read/research the past and don't pay attention to the present? and when I say present...I'm talking the last 10-15 years when specialists became in vogue.
I was affiliated with Minor League baseball in 1993, whether you do not believe me, which is the tone of your post and saying I 'claimed' does not bother me...I was not a superstar or great player obviously...and like many other older fans, the strike of 1994 killed my obsession with baseball

So yes, I love the past of baseball, and do not follow present baseball outside of the NL East and my despicable Phillies

Thank you dave for the kind words...not sure how to go about suggesting a sticky be made from an original thread, but perhaps if deemed important enough, someone here will alert one of the moderators....

        peace!

Re: Some Tips on Determining a Pitcher's DURABILITY and STAMINA

Why should Ervin Santana be penalized in stamina because the Angels started him in the minors and he only made 23 MLB GS by years end. One could argue that you need to look at his AAA/AA numbers, he made another 10 starts between those two stops.

As far as durablity that has alot to do with the manager and some to do with the league. You cant base that on innings pitched, it should be based on pitches thrown per outing...

Well Rod, I found some info that I would like to share with you and see if together we can find a solution. Please review my post on pitcher fatigue and let me know what you think. Thanks in advance. http://forums.operationsports.com/vB...d.php?t=167169

Durability is in the offense section, not pitching
