MLB 06 vs MVP 2005 PC

Just curious if anyone playing MLB 06 The Show has experience playing MVP 2005 on the PC, and if so how do the two compare? I generally only have the time to devote to one sports game at a time, so I need to make a decision. I've got an unopened copy of MLB right now but haven't decided if I want to open it or continue playing MVP 05 on the PC and return MLB. mvpmods.com has a huge update mod for MVP 05 for the 2006 season coming out, so I'm not sure if I should just stick with that, given that it is a solid game, can be modified easily, and has better graphics. Any opinions?

They are two completely different feeling games. I, for one, loved MVP PC, especially with the great mods. Beautiful game, played a fun game of baseball.
I now play MLB The Show as I just think it feels like I'm playing/experiencing a real game.

They are both great baseball games. I don't see how you can put time into both. I wouldn't be able to.

Amen to that. I still have MVP PC installed on my computer, but haven't touched it since I got MLB The Show. I keep waiting to play the PC version, but can't seem to put the Show down.

The Show wins hands down in the atmosphere dept. And atmosphere is 50% of the game for me. I have both and give the nod to The Show because it seems to be not so"predictable" IMO. Meaning-I can't really find the magic bullet to nail down every game and I like that. You can't depend on a payday pitch or something to get you through every game. Also,The Show has adjustable length of games in season mode. I'm playing a 82 game season being I just don't have the time to go 162. Maybe try this- play a shorter season with The Show and use MVP for the AAA teams. I'll probably do that and sim alot of MVP games due to time constraints. MVP on the PC is a good game and I'd hate to just let it collect dust on my shelf. One more thing,it might be too late-but did you consider renting the Show and then decide? good luck whatever you game you choose.

I think i`ve only played the PC demo for MVP. But I own the xbx version of MVP 2005. I think the PC and xbx version are identical.

In my opinion, The Show totally blows it away in the gameplay department and presentation. I really like the batting features found in The Show. Even when i`m down like 3 or 4 runs, I feel like I can still comeback and win the game because of the excellent batting features. Its just so much more balanced than MVP.

And The Show does baseball strategy so well.... your decisions definitely effect the outcome of the game. You have to "THINK" in this game to be succesful. The Show has such a heavy baseball simulation feel to it that it will turn-off some gamers but for people looking for an authentic feel you won`t be able to put this game down. Its incredibly addictive..... far more addictive than MVP.
