Impossible to throw knuckleball for strikes

I started out in career mode as myself. Originally I spread around my stats with the Knuckleball being the #1 pitch. Couldn't manage to get it over the plate. Every at bat was a walk.

I then re-created myself and bumped up my k-ball control to the max. Still couldn't get the ball over the plate for strikes.

I became curious and then played an Exhibition game as Wakefield, then Dickey. Both of them had troubles getting it over the plate.

I then switched to a normal pitcher (Zito) and found I had trouble getting his Curveball to strike. Not as bad as the knuckleballs, but still bad.

No matter what strategy I use 1) Press X then X at power point and then X at light blue accuracy point or 2) Press and Hold X til Power point and then X again at light blue accuracy point. Both ways I find it almost to impossible to locate pitches exactly where I want them to be. They always fall out of the zone after putting them just inside or right in the middle.

Is there something I should know about pitching accuracy or some slider I can tweak so my pitchers are accurate. Currently I can't even play the game without being torn up bad on rookie, veteran, all-star. I increased arm accuracy and that didn't help the pitchers either...

HELP!

I'm not a big "player"' of the game...I'm a manage only mode player, but you have to aim where you want to START your pitch. Where you place the cursor is NOT where the ball will wind up. THAT is where the ball will start before it breaks.
That's actually the beauty of the pitching system of this game. You have to work at it!

Yes.. Knight is exactly right.. For Example try Zito's curve again except this time say your facing a right handed batter aim the cursor on the right outside at the top of the middle row.. if you get the accuracy right that big bender of Zito's should fall right in the lower right corner.. Unless of course you already know this then im not sure what to tell ya

I use Dickey but with Classic pitching not Meter and he did just fine for me with his knuckle balll. I struckout 2 guy's in a game with the knuckle being the strikeout pitch. Of course on both occassions I used the Knuckle ball after I got the CPU on an 0-2 count.

LOL... I actually traded Wakefield in my Franchise because I was getting so frustrated with his control. I would leave the pitch cursor in the exact middle, and then hit both control points on the meter, and it would still go all over the place. The beauty thing is that it's really realistic... most knuckleballers don't know where it's going either, so it's kind of a hit or miss thing.

So I guess I should take pictures of where the pitch starts and where the pitch ends and lay them out in front of me until I know where each breaks.

Also does it change my accuracy or power at all if I hold X until I get the power I want and then tap in the light blue for accuracy or should I X to start and then X at the power spot and then X again for accuracy. I find it easier to hold X...

I hold X also. One thing to help with accuracy is that you shouldn't always fill up the bar, sometimes stopping in the middle of that orange or red is better becuase it is more accurate. Try that. Knucle is definatly the hardest pitch to throw accuratley because it could end up anywhere.
