I don't have a PS3 and am not getting one. I have MLB 06 and was wondering if MLB 07 is worth picking up? I know about the trade glitch in franchise but is the gameplay in 07 that much better than in 06? Is it worth forking out the money even with the glitch IYO?

Yeah, I think it plays a better game of baseball. The fielding and baserunning(these are the reasons I stopped playing 06 after about 40-50games) are improved.Comment

Is much of the same from last year, but thats bound to happen with next gen already here. Clearly to experience the true next step experience in the series is to play the PS3 version, but ya on PS2 is by far the best ball game.Comment

I struggled with the same question, but eventually went for it and picked up 07. I don't have a ton of time for games anymore so I didn't know if it was worth my $40... but in the end i'm happy with my choice.
The main positives I see are the fielding is improved, better hit variety, and the sliders that effect pitch control seem to have a much greater effect, thus leading to more walks on both sides. I hit a little too well in last years game unless I upped the pitch speed, which then led to 10+ strikeouts a game for me. It seemed a lot better with 07 first, however i'm slowly starting to hit a little too well... but I still have many slider tweaks to try and tone things down.
As far as negatives, all i've really noticed is that the fame rate does dip a bit at times, so it's not as "smooth" as last year... but it's not really that bad and I haven't noticed it much after a game or two. It never affecting my playing ability at all, just in case you were at all worried about that.LET'S GO FLYERS, YANKEES, DOLPHINS!!!Comment

This game is how a sports game is suppossed to be updated. This is a quality product.
The API,the swing analysis,the revamped hitting and pitching make this a better game.
Plus the infielders were running in cement last year. Now they charge the ball like they should. You also can throw harder this year as well.
No longer can you smack a fastball outside the zone for a hit. Now you will foul it off just like you are suppossed to.
To hit in this years game the ball has to be in the strike zone or some what near it. No more miracle hits.
They made it harder to turn on a fastball as well. Its damn near impossible to turn on a fastball on the inside and smack it out.
Basically the things they did make it so you never know what will happen when you play a game.
The changes have increased the variablity factor which makes this game a winner.
