    HR - Collision Detection

I haven't seen any HRs bounce off buildings, seats, etc...have you? Maybe it's because I haven't seen many with lower power and HOF level ...just want to see if someone has seen various HRs bounce off stuff.

not very often. I have seen the ball bounce when hit into the bullpen but that is about it.

I'm not sure why they leave this out of games. I am still playing mlb 06 for the psp and the ball bounces off of whatever it hits. It seems really silly for them to remove that from the ps3 version.

I seen some homerun balls go through walls when they bounce.

Reasonable collision detection began with Interplay Sports Baseball 2000 for PSX. Then Acclaim brought All Star Baseball to the PS2, and since then they have had (and still have to date) the best collision detection of any game out there. Man, now I really want to get an ASB game just for the home run derby.

It goes right through the buildings, scoreboards, seats... etc.

Again.. its a very minute thing... but then again the little things make all the difference. Here's hoping to next year.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

i have the ps2 version and it bounces off of everything. Not and good as all-start baseball, but its definitely well done.

ok, thanks for the reponses...the few i've seen (ps3 version) have gone 'through' stuff, just wondering if i was imagining things...but in the end, i'll take the infrequent amount of HRs over this topic's subject any day.

Now that I think of it, I usually play homerun derby and thats where i usually see the good collision detection. Try playing that, and see if its any better.
