Do you guys use square for hitting?

Just wondering if/when/how you guys use the power hit button. I'm having trouble hitting balls out with Fielder and Braun, which is not good

A lot of the guys here myself included don't use the power swing. Just making good contact and timing with the [X] button will generate enought power to put the ball out.

From what I've seen with my personal use, the square button just causes more problems than it solves. I don't think I've ever hit the ball further than the infield with the square, but can light it up when needed with the "x"

Never. Hit homeruns without them. You can't check swing with the square button either.

And yea it does seem like square causes the weakest hits ever...

I've hit two homeruns with square, the rest with X. Hardly ever get hits with square. It is cool to hit homeruns with square because you just dominate the ball.

I actualy hit one out last night with Jones from the Dodgers but that's it. Never anything else using it.

I use x mainly. I'll use square if I am up big in a game and am up 3-0 in the count - I have hit some out with it.

I'll never use Square after 07 debacle for me, I've had many chances to crush a ball with power swing and to walk away with nothing - X/contact seems the best route to go with every batter.

I'd use square when I was ahead in the account with certain hitters (Sexson in M's franchise) and I hit a good amount of HRs that way.

Still, the majority of my HRs came from using X. Square is too hit or miss to use constantly.

I use it sometimes.. I notice it puts more mustard on hits when I hit with it. It's harder to get hits though with it.

Only on 2-0, 3-0 counts, and on a first pitch swing once every three innings.

Hardly only when i am ahead in the count or if i might know where he is throwing and depending on the batter with that. But i don't prefer to use it. This is baseball, not home run derby.

I hit 3 in one game with Giambi using the Square. I only use it with a power hitter and when I guess pitch and location.
