    The ai is unrealistically good

I would say 80% of the time I have a lead in the ninth, the cpu ties the game. In the ninth, the cpu suddenly hits everything near the strike zone. The 10 pitch at bats are getting old as well. Very good game, but far from perfect.

what level do you play on? cuz when i play and if i do be able to win the cpu doesnt come back and tie in the 9th and win. or when im losing the cpu stays strong. either i suck or you are playing on an easy level.

I haven't had this problem. In over 10 save opportunities I blown 1 or 2 saves.

In the last game I had I allowed a run in the 7th, and run in the 8th but closed the game in the 9th to win 4-3 with the Tigers.

It's probably just you getting tense and cracking under the pressure.

I love when people don't have success in a game, and then blame the AI for it.

I would tend to agree, it's not the AI...

More often than not, I can hold the lead in the ninth. I've been using the Dodgers & Saito. There were a few times where I've blown the save and such but, that just gives it a more realistic feeling. But, certainely not 80% of the time blowing saves, not even 50%.

Exactly! Then they complain when they don't lose...vicious cycle...

                  Too funny!

It reminds me of people who review demos of software on sites like download.com or something saying the program is whack because their computer is an old piece of crap or they don't know how to configure the software they downloaded so the program is a piece of junk!

Thank God I can figure things out on my own or I'd probably be inclined to believe some of these people.

If you guys want a really good laugh, go watch the Gamespot 2008 baseball videogame roundup. They play it as though 2k8 and The Show are neck and neck but The Show is just a little bit better because it has better minor details.

No, not because of RTTS or weekly roster updates, or its smooth framerate, or meticulous animations for fielding and batting, nope, because a beachball will fall from the stands or batters look pissed when they strike out!

                  Sad!

If anything the CPU isnt good enough. Playing on HOF with CPU hit quality all the way up and power at +1 the cpu doesnt produce many runs.

Its sad but sometimes I catch myself trying to leave a fastball a little bit more over the plate hoping the CPU will make me pay. Occasionally they do.

how many runs do you want to AI to score? maybe lower your pitcher sliders. also raise the AI's power+contact.
personally i like 2-5 runs per team, not too much more.

i'm on AS level, with maxed pitching sliders, and the AI still kills me when a leaving a hanging slider.

I can hold the 9th pretty nice if I have lead. Pressure may be getting to you.

i've had games where my closer blew some saves in the 9th, but i've also had games where i came back late in games.
i've won and lost games in 12th -16th inning as well.
trust me, that's one of the highest highs and lowest lows u'll ever experience.
