No doubt about it. It has to be Manny. He is the best hitter alive. Not a big fan of his. But damn he can hit a ball like no other. And I pray everyday that the Mets sign him already.

So Pujols and Lincecum are going to play the OF?

Nah really, I'll just Put Pujols to DH ...add Lincecum to the Starting Rotation in the 2nd Spot, trade for the young kid from the Reds (Jay Bruce) and sign or trade for Bobby Abreu.

When I play my first MLB 09 Franchise game with my Yankees .This is how my Lineup will look.

1.Jeter (SS) 2.Bruce (CF)3.Pujols(DH) 4. A-Rod(3B) 5.Teixeira(1B)6.Abreu (RF) 7.Cano(2B) 8.Posada (C)9.Melky (LF)

Starting Rotation.

With Joba back to the Bullpen to set-up Mariano.

That would make sense. I am a Yanks fan...and i wanted Manny over Tex. But he i a perfect fit with the Mets. I think he would be so cooky he would actually show guys like Beltran and Reyes how to be cooky have fun and still win.

say what you want about Manny, but I dont remember the last team he was on that wasnt consistently in the post-season

Mines would be Smoltz and Chipper. When I pitched using Smoltz I get his stats: 23 starts 131Ks. And Chipper I strike too much, but that is on me. .340 22HR 65RBI thru 100 games played. I always have a quality at bat the CPU actually pitches cautiously to him.

Well, I don't do fantasy draft but in my "rebuilding" franchise I always trade for Pedro Martinez and Carl Crawford. I think Pedro, in his healthy prime, was one of the most dominant pitchers I've ever seen. In The Show I can still pitch great with him (two of my three no-nos since 07 are with Pedro) and I guess I'm just comfortable with his style and delivery.

As for Crawford, I just think he's one of the most talented overall players in the game and has spent the bulk of his career under the radar. I bat him leadoff for my Rickey Henderson like start to the order. I try to get a young pitcher too, but those guys are my priorities. In The Show, they may both be playing for the Nats (again, for me) or Seattle this year.

I must have Roy Halladay. I just like the way he pitches and I like the fact I know that I can get at least 6 very good innings out of him.
