Re: Kauffman Stadium 2009
I would find it VERY surprising if indeed the changes were not made.
Considering they built two stadiums which aren't even finished I would assume they added at least the changes to Kauffman that were done last season and hopefully everything for this season as well.
*edit* much appreciation RussellLG 77CX OLED / Sonos Arc Soundbar / Xbox Series X / Apple TV 4KComment

Re: Kauffman Stadium 2009
Im sure the "K" will be well represented in the Show 09. The devs do a great job on the stadiums overall, and will never be perfect (who is), but this was one of the major renovations this year for all the stadiums, so I just have faith it will be represented well. Kinda messy down there last August when I made it from Omaha to see a couple Royals/Tigers games. Lots of piles of dirt around the stadium, and bulldozers, bobcats, and caterpillars were busy at work. Thats to be expected though with such a huge project, and keeping the stadium open at the same time. The new scoreboard was up then, but it didnt have the crown back on top yet. Cant wait to get down there for a couple series this year.
Go Royals!!
P.S. And earlier a couple of you guys were saying the Royals could go on a Ray's type run this year. Dont get me wrong, I would LOVE to see that, but I dont think we have good enough pitching for that. The Rays got a killer bullpen, and well above average starting pitching, as well as more pop on offense. I would take a .500 season this year, and try to really do something 2-3 years with the young pitching and bats.Comment

Re: Kauffman Stadium 2009
Well said. The signing of Greinke for 4 years was key. Look to 2011 for the the Royals return to prominence. However the central is weak and anything can happen. Re: Kauffman Stadium 2009
This stadium must be in the game. I would kill me if it wasn't. I use the royals exclusively with every part of the game. I'm very worriedComment

Re: Kauffman Stadium 2009
wouldn't it be better, if both of the games (MLB and 2k) kept the original version of the stadium, instead?
from what i've seen, the renovated Kaufmann stadium does not impress. As it looks like they've eliminated the nice green grass/hills, in the outfield (next to the fountains)Comment

Re: Kauffman Stadium 2009
So you definitely have not ever seen it in person. BTW Russell I know you said no promises but the Royal faithful (yes we exist!!) are dying to at least get a confirmation of the upgrades...pics would be sublime!!wouldn't it be better, if both of the games (MLB and 2k) kept the original version of the stadium, instead?

Re: Kauffman Stadium 2009
no. I haven't.
only had checked several you.tube videos (of renenovation) and a website.
from my view, Royals Stadium have always been a 'gem'. And the 1980-85 KC teams, were my 3rd favorite team/era in history of baseball.

Re: Kauffman Stadium 2009
You'll be happy to know then (if you didn't already) that the Royals will have their all-powder-blue uni's from the 80s available in MLB 09.
In one of the videos it showed a real quick flash of a Royals baserunner sliding into second and you could see the all blues but I couldn't tell if they were the circa 1980 jersey pullover with "Kansas City" across the front or the circa 1985 button up jersey with "Royals" across the front.
Either way, it's a welcome addition.
