Re: MLB 09 The Show Screenshots (Playstation.com)
Agreed. I remember when I first popped the game in and I was unknowingly playing at 480 and thought, hmmmmmm, this looks just okay and then I changed my PS3 to 720 and was like "whoa", this is something. I think we're going to be shocked when we see what the progressive lighting does to this game.Comment

I am not reading anywhere that after 8 screen shots the Show sucks and is unplayable. Too many people here takes these comments as if their mothers were being verbally offended.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Screenshots (Playstation.com)
Everyone has their own expectations for the game. Some are more valid than others but this series has prided itself on attention to detail and I think if people can point out things, it can bring the game closer to its end goal.

No, I am saying people are already complaining about the screen shots its just rediculious. The game will never be perfect and detail will never be perfect so lets get that straight. Yes everyone is entittled to thier opinion but why make an opinion on the graphics based on 13 screen shots. Isn't that alittle to presumptious?Comment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Screenshots (Playstation.com)
These little kids that come on here and say the logo on the Cubs leg is to big and already picking apart the graphics are you Fing kidding me THESE ARE SCREEN SHOTS PEOPLE. So what if the Cubs logo on the legs is alittle big, I can give a crap. I want video of gameplay and if it looks bad or plays bad then you can bash it. But don't bash the game over 8 screen shots give me a break.
I agree with just about all the "negative" posts in here thus far. But as I said, last year, the screenshots didn't do the game justice and I suspect that will be the same this year. I'll reserve my judgments on the game and how it looks when I either:
A) see video of it in motion from a third party(someone other than Sony)
B) when I play and see the game for myself, on my television.
I don't know why people are getting bent out of shape because someone isn't singing the praises of the graphics. And one more thing, I like the fact that people are having to be nitpicky to find fault. Shows how great the game is already.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: New Screenshots!
That's why they are screenshots. The worst thing for anyone to do is form a judgement based on screenshots. It looks no different than last year, and the game looked and moved wonderfully last year. Best looking sports game? Not even close. But worthy of every peney? You betcha. This game has no competition. So let's relax.I never had a problem with graphics in the game. I thought the game looked great last year and I figure it will be better this year.

nobody is bashing the game, only providing their opinions on what they see.

Re: MLB 09 The Show Screenshots (Playstation.com)
I'm calling it like I see it. The PS3 is terrible @ producing textures in their games. I never said anything against the SCEA Team as I believe they are the best developers in the Baseball Sports Genre. It's the system I was criticizing.
Yes many people can look past such things especially when game play is great. Perfect example. Call of Duty 4. 1 of the Best Shooters ever IMO, but the textures looked horrible. This is not a knock on Infinity Ward again it's a knock on the hardware"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"Comment

Rules to live by, volume 1:
- If anyone shows you a picture of their kids, say "Hey, looking good!" Don't ever say anything else. And keep smiling no matter what.
- If anyone posts screens on a video sports forum of the next great game everyone's peeing their pants waiting for, say "Hey, looking good!" Don't ever say anything else. And keep smiling no matter what.Comment

Look I don't want to turn this thread into a system flame war. I was pointing out something I saw which irks the crap out of me. Not sure why people are getting all bent out of shape about it.Last edited by bigfnjoe96; 01-07-2009, 12:29 PM.Comment

How is it wrong? I am pretty convinced that most games available for both the 360 and PS3 generally look much better on the 360. You don't see it that way?Comment
