Does MLB 09 The Show have full Day to Dusk to Night transition with cloud effects and movement?

Is your system sophisticated enough to know the difference between a 1:00, 4:00, 7:00 & 8:00 start. 1:00 starts with very few shadows, 4:00 starts with heavy shadows, 7:00 starts as dusk, and 8:00 starts at night (e.g., World Series games).

NCAA 07 & 08 had incredible transition lighting. They even took time of year into consideration (a 3:30 kickoff in early September started off bright, but in late November started off really dusky). Good info by HokieB

I made a post about this a few months ago but I can't find it. I read on the feature list that different players will take different routes to balls. This is good news to me because this was my biggest complaint of 08. Every outfielder took perfect routes, which is why some people had trouble getting doubles and triples. I'm wondering how well this will be implimented. I want to see outfielders come in for a shallow fly ball, realize they can make the catch and have the wall bounce to the fence. This happens all the time and results in doubles and triples. But it never happened on MLB 08. Does anyone know any more detail about how the routes/angles will work?

I was wondering with supposedly having weather in our games if the ball will be affected by it. Like when it's really cold the ball won't go as far as normal, and when down in Arlington and the hotter climates we'll see more home-runs. <!-- / message -->

I havent play in Months but when playing in season/Fran could we keep all teams rosters updated , trades callups ect.
I just cant remember .

Just curious, where did you hear that from? Did one of the SCEA guys mention that?

No...just an educated guess.
They have the real life ticker....I haven't seen any shots with an in game ticker...
Could just be that they are showing exhibition games...but somehow, I'm not feeling it.

If you use CPU ROSTER CONTROL...you can control the rosters for all teams...

Also did they remove the large background walls in the home and visitor bullpens ??

Well it looks like all the ball parks are going to have a lot more detail then last year. So I would say there is a good chance Dodger Stadium will have the larger full color LCD scoreboards to the left field & right field wall.

I disagree with you about wild pitches, 100%. If I throw a ball in the dirt there's a higher probabilty of a passed ball, but wild pitches? I have seen very few in this game in all the games I've pitched.

I havent seen this issue addressed so I am just asking. Has anyone heard if there are going to be red gloves, multi-colored bats, etc? I know these are small issues of real detail.

Yes, it's been addressed. To be truthful the thread is getting repetitive. I've got 4 pages of things to check so far and, to tell you the truth, just about everything you can imagine has been posted, except for Mike's stuff, you know, can you fix the creases in the flags.
