I didn't play the game a ton last year. One thing I remember that was a tad annoying was that when someone hit a home run, it automatically kicked into a home run animation. There was no suspense as to whether the ball might be caught, hit the wall or indeed be gone. Any word on what the home run animations are? Are home runs telegraphed a second after contact again this year?

Oh, and this is a personal wish, seeing as that it's impossible for me to play a game without doing franchise reports: Does anyone know if there's an ability to do screenshots, like in NCAA Football and the NHL series? That would be a deal closer for me ... but I'm weird that way.

You should have checked the settings menu. I don't like the home run animations either which is why there was an option to turn them off last year lol.

You CAN take screenshots this year and there is a huge thread with pics as examples.

Yes. I believe all the screens the guys took of the game were in-game captures

As far as the HR's, my understanding is they aren't really changed. You can turn the cutscenes off in the options (if you weren't aware) and many people say it looks pretty good that way.

1.Do the cathers call more accurate games this year....like depending on the pitcher(example Mo Rivera) will the cathcher call for more cutters than lets say fastballs or for example more sinkers from wang?

2.To be more accurate, does the umpires have new reactions and animations during strike 3 calls and etc.

3. hows Burnnets, Sabbathias,Wangs,Pettites and Jobas pitching delivery this year lol im a yankee fan..

Thanks scea and the crew(Knight,Kolbe,Russell etc)..

Last post on this..if none of you guys answer it i understand, i guess you cant..

Knight, i think u were the one talking about Mascots a couple of billion pages back (haha) did they fix bernie the brewer slide animation this year, and i know u cant probably answer this but Sausages? R they in?

Yes. I believe it does.
This...based off the fact that Kolbe has PM'ed me that games early in the year will start off light dusk....and end in full darkness while game later in the year will be total darkness.

hopefully the numbers will be fixed for the Nationals. I understand #8 and 10 are retired but it was for the Expos. It's weird seeing Ronnie Belliard wearing #13 while his "real" number is 10 since 11 & 12 are taken, and of course #10 being retired.
