I can't imagine how cool it would be to play with edited Brooklyn Dodgers players in Ebbetts field or play a double header with the NY Giants vs. the Brooklyn Dodgers in The Polo Grounds . Mays and Snider Wow!...

why is it so top-secret to tell us there are sunglasses or eye black or jock straps; whatever the accessories?..... accessories are not going to make one buy 2K or Sony over the other....

You've read the comments...you got the gist.....
Chris, Kolbe and Russ have let a tons of things loose before the fact...and have stated many times that they've taken a little heat from the ad dept. of SCEA.
That's how SCEA runs it's ship...ad/pr releases the info....the guys that come on here are not part of that dept.
I'll take whatever they give us
...and like you said, it's not going to make a difference...so what does it matter.(I realize...you're just fiending for info:wink

wsu - SCEA has released much more information than 2k. SCEA has established an information feedback forum for us, the consumers. You need to value what they can communicate and appreciate the forum for what it is.

Last year, 2k did not even release a demo if I remember right.

GAMEPLAY OR MODE:
Franchise or Season mode can you control EVERY TEAM like in MADDEN so you could theoretically play any two teams games during the season at anytime.

I used to love playing the best matchup of the day and going through the season all the way to the end.

Im soo hoping thats in the game!!

This is incredibly minor and probably affects like 8 people, but if one of you guys could fire up a game in Toronto and see if there's an out of town scoreboard (probably in LCF/RCF on the video screens), that would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty sure Toronto was the only stadium not to have one last year.

I heard from Kolbe that pitch speed is now judged by MPH. How is this implemented? Is there a top and bottom speed? Is there a limit for how many MPH can fit in that range like last year?

You can do this already in '08!

No you can't. Once you press the button the throw goes to that base no matter what you do.

Then it must be different in the outfield, because I was able to press to throw to third, and go, "oh shoot wrong base" and switch to first, and the meter "re-lit" and he threw to first instead.

Same for when I went to throw to third, and quickly switched to the cut-off man instead.



Unless it is only able to be switched when you do a "pre-loaded throw" thus why you can get it to re-light and go to another base, rather than the one originally chosen.

I also wonder if the "break point" animation has anything to do with choosing a different place to throw. Makes sense if it does.

Meter may be the key.
I don't use it and I can't seem to get an "oh ****" throw to change either.

It can happen on preloaded throws. Generally if you have the ball and press the base there is no changing the command.

in 08 if i hit one down the line (either line) i have the hardest time stretching that into a 2B....seems like corner OF'ers get to balls in the corners too fast...has this been tweaked


dusk/night progression.....i assume this also works for 1pm (as well as the Red Sox PATRIOT DAY GAME at 11am) games.....yes?


i read about custom batter walk-up music...what about mid inning music/end of game/start of game/HR's ....other spots to customize music?
