Thank you for the Ryan Doumit cover Ghettoshark, it looks awesome! Quick question. What are the deminsions i need to resize it to fit the game case?

Right click save, open in an image editing program and print.

Common image editing programs include Photoshop, the GIMP, Fireworks, and of course Paint.

I reccommend the use of either glossy or matte photo paper.

It should be scaled to print size.

Thanks. Now that I'm looking at the last one I did from a different monitor at work, it appears that the lighting I did on the player is too dark. Going forward, I think I'll stick w/ no lighting effects.(Thanks once again to Ghettoshark for the cover template)

I just use a plugin to even out the lighting.

I don't do any effects like I do on EA covers since.....well, Sony doesn't use any effects

There are a few reasons, but essentially they're artistic choice.1) the edges appear a bit more smooth to the eye over the plain rough pixels.2) I like having the cover athletes stand out from the backdrop and not appear quite so flat(sometimes I'll even add or play w/ lighting). I thought that especially important visually because I was dealing w/ black/white photos.Just out of curiosity, do you feel that it's bad in some ways?

The Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle cover I understand do distinguish between the two black and white images (could be centered better,imho). The Manny picture it doesn't look right to me, might be that the Manny picture takes up a lot of space, might look better with a smaller Manny. Just my opinion.

the McLouth cover rox. i'm debating on using the doumit cover or the McLouth cover. they both rock! I'm leaning towards Doumit because he's my favorite player.

I think it's the size of the Manny, and on top of that, it wasn't a high enough res pic of him. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any that were IMO, good enough. Hopefully this adjustment looks a bit better to you<table style="width: auto;"><tbody><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; text-align: right;">From MLB09</td></tr></tbody></table>As for the centering of the players, I played w/ that for a little while, and realized with their stances from the source image that it was going to be an issue. I believe that the issue there is a combination of their position on the page, and the background image not complimenting the players well. I couldn't find a large enough, and/or hi res shot for them.I still think that using the drop shadow looks a bit more real than just sticking a player against a backdrop. I would like to know if more people feel that drop shadows are too much of a negative thing for the images.
