Re: MLB The Show player Models?

Player models don't bother me at all. I'd prefer the SCEA team spend their resources on improving gameplay. Get the game playing as close to real baseball as possible before worrying about blocky shoulders and these so-called T-Rex arms (which I don't notice at all).
    It's only a video game.

I think this has been covered before by the devs, that there is no "one or the other" in the development of the game. They have teams dedicated to game play and teams dedicated to graphics (among other things).

And even if this wasnt the case, in my personal opinion I cant understand why one has to be more important than the other. I know its fun to debate and choose sides, but this seems like an utterly ridiculous argument. I want gameplay AND graphics. One does not have to nullify the other.

I am really starting to hate comments like this "Player models don't bother me at all. I'd prefer the SCEA team spend their resources on improving gameplay"

Sony has already told us that they have teams working on every aspect of the game.

One has nothing to do with the other!!!!!

Utterly ridiculous argument? I don't believe I was arguing with anyone, nor was I attacking anyone who doesn't like the current player models. Hence the fact that I quoted no one. I was simply stating my opinion. If you and mike75 don't like my posts, stop reading them.

I agree. That picture was taken from a game against the Braves in 2007. That was the day after the fight in the dugout between Zambrano and Barrett.

really sorry you took offense man, honesty did not mean for that to sound like YOU are utterly ridiculous or that your PREFERENCE is utterly ridiculous. My statement was about the actual GLOBAL argument that one needs to be focused on one thing more than another. Aside from the fact that the company doesnt actually need to focus on one more than the other since they have teams, it also is trying to state that what X-person wants is more important than what Y-person wants (not you in particular)

sorry that freaked you out...again, no offense meant in it.

Re: MLB The Show player Models?

One area that's effected by the short arms was certain batting stances

Andre Ethiers in general...He holds the bat way away from his body when he bats and because of the short arm problem with the player models there was no stance that was similar to his because no player in last years game could hold the bat far enough away because their arms are too short

It will be interesting to see if & how they got his signature stance in the game this year
