Re: Community Preview Answer Discussion Thread.
I gotta be honest.
I simmed about 15 seasons to check things out.....
I think I got one tie in that...and I accidentally simmed to the playoffs...so I can't be sure
It wasn't my team in the tie...I only noticed it when I checked the standings.
Sorry about that.

Re: Community Preview Answer Discussion Thread.
Maybe someone out there can answer this for me. When you are pitching there is a menu of the pitches that your pitcher throws. On that menu is a bar I believe it is blue but it changes during gameplay. Can someone tell me what this does???? Thanks.Comment

That's the individual pitch confidence for each pitch. They fluctuate based on your success using each given pitch as the game goes on.Comment

Re: Community Preview Answer Discussion Thread.
Random Q #...a lot
When setting the 40-man roster, do you do that outside of franchise (in the roster screen), or once you start a franchise. For example, I plan to actually play all the ST games for the first time this year so I can actually decide who I want as my #4/#5 SP's and so on, but Toronto has about a million crappy pitchers going into camp. If I can do it outside the franchise mode it'll be a bit easier to get them all on.
Also common baseball knowledge question: if someone is taken off the 40-man, are they automatically DFA'd?Blue Jays, Blackhawks, AuburnComment

Good questions.
Okay...before you start a franchise...you can freely move the players around....on every level and changing the 40 man status...without "penalty"...so yes...you can set the roster you want to start with. The system is "shut-off" pre franchise.
I'm guessing in regards to the designations...you mean once you start a franchise? If you remove someone from the 40 man in franchise...he will be deignated...if he has no options...he must clear waivers.
One thing I forgot to check...but I don't know for sure...if there are two different types of waivers....meaning....can you pull back a player if claimed. I don't think so this year...so you have to be sure.
Another thing is....your 40 man is your Sept call up list....so make sure that is set on July 31 the way you want.

And, for guys like me who make all the real time moves, injuries, etc. the number of options that a player has is off so that you can make those moves without losing an option. This is for guys who play with ROSTER CONTROL ON.Comment

Re: Community Preview Answer Discussion Thread.
As a matter of fact...while we were there...we explained about the lineup remaining the same when the CPU would rest players....and then just stick the sub in the same spot in the batting order.
So if Miguel Cairo was going to give A-Rod a rest at 3B...he would wind up batting 3 or 4.
They immediately got on it....came back a little later...and said...FIXED!!!!....they will now come up with a better batting order for subs!
FRIGGIN' SWEET!
