Read the pastapadre info and he said theres still problems with fielding where the ball would go towards the player and the animation would not react right away to get the ball. I saw this alot in 08 and was hopeing they would have fixed that. I'm not happy about that. I thought they worked really hard on fielding? Anyways everything else sounds great..

Ok, I lied; One last thing.

Catch region indicator was fixed! You can not play with the region on and the actual spinning ball off, just like you could 2 years ago.

The replay angles are beyond ridiculous this year. There are so many new ones that are just... indescribable. Just like you'd see on an actual broadcast.

Much work was put into them and it shows.

I too was surprised when I read that from Pasta Padre, as I thought that'd be a thing of the past. There must be something fairly complicated that's keeping them from correcting this. Hopefully it's one of the bugs they're still trying to kill before release.

Anyone know if the box scores changed in MLB09? I would like to be able to see the pitchers pitch counts in the box score.

Isn't this game done already? I really hope that's fixed.

I believe the guys are playing the final build of the game. Whether they can tweak anything still, is something one of the community guys or devs would have to answer.

According to PastaPadre, it is a near final build:


"The build being used is near final as there is still some final bug fixing going on even as I write this. I spent all of the time today playing exhibition games with tomorrow being when I’ll dive into Road to the Show and possibly Franchise. So at this point I can only offer up some general thoughts and observations."

So there may be "some" things that are still being ironed out, but I have no idea how drastic of a change some things can be at this point.

I just posted a blog that contains ONLY the community leader impressions/comments/answers in it. It's a good reference material for those that don't want to read through all of the other posts and comments made. I will update it periodically through the day. I hope the community day guys don't mind but I like to have all their goodness in one place and read it more than once. If they don't like it, I'll take it down.

6. Lint, this one is for you. Your last name is in the name data base. As a matter of fact they have first name/last names in the data base.

On a small note I love that first and last names are seperate in the data base.

On a second small note / request... if any of you gentlemen happen to see this would someone be willing to see if Beashore (as a last name) made it in? I had asked Knight back in the fall but never heard a definite response.

Only near final build. Thats good because with NHL09 even the demo had a noticeable bug ( the one where the goalie would knock the puck into his own net on shootouts) that was fixed before final release. So keep on the lookout guys cause there might still be time.
