Question to anyone , It normally takes me 6-7 hours to download these sports demos (USA)is that long ? or how can I speed it up ?

That sounds a bit long, but might be about right if you download around release (traffic of all the happy gamers on at once...lol).

Are you connected directly (through an ethernet connection) or wireless? Wireless can be very slow (I always have a spare cable in waiting for bigger downloads, as I'm connected wirelessly).

Finally, it also depends on your location and provider (not saying you're not aware...just throwing it out there as well). I had to switch to Time Warner and my internet life has been slower ever since...lol (In San Antonio...not sure about other locations).

No its a Quality Ethernet Cable and my provider is Att high speed .
I had TW when I lived in SA also , does having a ton of people downloading at once slow things down and why ? Thank You

Man...I wish I could get ATT here. (it's still not available in my area )

anyway, yeah...a ton of people downloading at once can kind of clog up the servers causing slow down. It's a lot like traffic (think of rush hour or a bottle-neck on a freeway), if too many are there, things slow down as the bandwitdth is kinda pushed too hard.

I know it took a LOOONG time to get 08 downloaded near release, but when my buddy downloaded it much later to try it out it was much quicker.

I'm sure there is someone who could maybe explain it much better than me (not an computer wiz by ANY stretch), but that's about the jist. Hope that made sense...lol
