Ok 2 issues with the 09 demo that were also in 08!

1. After the left fielder made the catch for the final out he starting running back to the dugout and he ran right into the stands. I mean through it.

2. And this is a bad one that I hated last year with a runner on first base the CPU hit a ground ball to my shortstop and I fliped to second for 1 out then for some reason the second basemen just held onto the ball and would not throw to first for the double play. Why does this still happen?

The runner would have been out at first if he threw the ball. I pushed the buttom like I always do. This is my biggest problm with MLB The Show. Yes the Gameplay is much better then 08 but at least in the Demo there are still times when it feels like the CPU is not letting you do things like for example throw to the base when you want to.

I hope both of these are fixed in the final build! More importantly number 2.

Maybe Sony could chime in on this please?

I turned many double plays at the event without ONE hiccup, not one single underhanded lob, nada. All I can tell ya.

Did you turn the pitch speed down? This is definitely something guys are going to have to be a little patient with as it's completely unlike 08. I used to be LATE with almost every swing last year on fastballs. Now, I'm out in front, but pulling balls. It'll come.

I turned many double plays at the event without ONE hiccup, not one single underhanded lob, nada. All I can tell ya.

I am not talking about the underhand lob issue. What I am saying is the second basemen just did not throw the ball. And I am sure I pushed the buttom pretty hard.

Also have you seen this in the Demo?

Maybe its fixed?

Glenn, try changing you batting camera angle.

Try offset. It's wonderful for picking up the ball.

I know what you're talking about Mike. I've seen it quite a few times myself in the demo and last year. Its annoying as all get out.

I was doing the same thing (Because of 08) I now have pitch speed at 10 and I'm hitting waaay better.

I just played an awesome game on Legend. I was Philly and got out to an early 0-1 deficit. Hung a curveball that as soon as it left my hand I wanted it back. Sadly, Longoria decided not to let me have it. Bomb to right field. In the bottom of the third, I was fooled on a breaking ball but it hung up just enough for Utley to bounce it off of the foul pole. Didn't think it would stay fair, but it did.

Bottom of the fourth, and Victorino gets on with a walk! I then stole second with one out. Next guy up rockets one to the second baseman and it eats him up. Sadly, he kept it in the infield and I only wound up with runners on 2nd and 3rd. Next pitch is a slider in the dirt. Bounces away from the catcher but no far enough for Victorino to score. The guy on first made it to second, however, getting rid of that forceout. Sadly, the batter whiffed on a NASTY slider bringing up the pitcher with two outs. Fastball down the middle and I hit a lazy fly ball to center field. Inning over.

Game went to the 7th inning with the Rays finally getting another run on a pop-fly homerun JUST out of the reach of Victorino. I timed the jump just wrong and I swear it bounced off of his glove for a HR. Bottom of the inning, Kazmir walks the leadoff guy, gets a double play (DAMN SLIDER!!!) and the next guy up rockets a double down the left field line. (Over the third baseman's head and into the corner). The crowd is going crazy as the final batter steps up. Joe Madden comes out and brings in a reiever. On the third pitch (count even at 1-1) I guessed fastball and got it. Hit it high, hit it far, hit it to the deepest part of the ballpark into the center fielder's glove on the warning track. Game over.

The final lines were:

Kazmir: 6.2 innings. 2 walks, 6 strikeouts, 5 hits, 1 run.
Hamels: 7 innings. 2 walks, 6 strikeouts, 4 hits, 2 runs.

AWESOME game with oh-so realistic line scores!

I'm having such a good time...even with this 4 inning(+?) demo...even with two teams..and the same players.
I can't wait to get the full game....I'm fiending!

I did see a very strange play just now..1st time in over 100 games, but on a line drive past 2nd towards the gap Werth turned and took 5 steps or so running away from the ball ( like he was scared) lol
it ended up going to the wall for a double
This was CPU vs CPU

probably a real fluke but curious if anyone has seen it before

I had a no hitter going in the 5th today and it showed a stat at the bottom that a tampa bay pitcher has never had a no hitter, pretty cool but it jinked me, lol
