Hmmm. This was specifically talked about at the event. There is spot on the field that they had to find (to correct a glitch they must be able to recreate tha glitch exactly as it happened). What was happening, and I explained this way back when, is when the ball hit this spot it was turning the field around. You couldn't see it (the program being fooled into thinking the field was turned around), but it made the catcher think he had to retreive a ball that went to the backstop. That's why everyone else stood still. A RF wouldn't run to the backstop.

It was discussed that this was fixed, so I'm thinking you're not going to see this. Remember this is a mid-December build of the game we are playing right now.

Im I the only one here who thinks too many of the runs scored are off Home Runs?

In almost all my games played my runs come off of Home Runs.

And the funny thing is one game I had only 2 hits total in the game and both of those hits were Home Runs. lol

At times, the good news is that it can be adjusted and corrected pretty easily if you find the retail version has the same issue.

I absolutely suck at hitting but I've only scored one run on a non-HR since I've DL'd the demo. I've probably played the demo about 15 times and I've hit six homers I believe, scored once from second on a single back up the middle. Still haven't hit a ball over an OF's head, maybe that isn't in this build.

No matter what I do I can only get the DEMO to run in LPCM. This also goes for 08.

I can't help you out either joe. If you were running it through a capable receiver, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I run my through an optical cable, and don't have any problems with 5.1.

I use optical as well, and have no problems with 5.1 dolby digital.

Yeah I remember your post on this. My first thought was that the game does not know what to do because of me check swinging which last year didn´t result in contact on the ball at all and now it may happen...

... So to limit the search which maybe continued by the devs...

Search between First Base and the Mound, that´s where the ball landed

Not for me. On All-Star. Getting runs all kinds of ways. I still haven't hit a homerun. CPU has hit three in I think 6 games I've played.

Thanks fellas. I'm just not understanding why I can't get the game to play in Dolby Digital via HDMI. I'm also wondering if this has something to do with the PS3 design , more than a game design.

All my games on the 360 play in Dolby Digital via HDMI from receiver.. Weird

I have never been able to get dolby digital through hdmi as well with the PS3...I have to put my optical cable in the back of the PS3 to get dolby digital. This gets annoying, so I just leave it on hdmi....

I too suck at hitting, even worse than usual since I hadn't touched 08 in a while. So today I played around with the sliders and maxed the timing, I had a lot more fun with it. Lost 3-2 in the 7th as the Rays.

Joe whats your setup? I should be able to help you. I am hooked via HDMI and get DD through my receiver. Is your PS3 set up to send audio as bitstream or lpcm?
