One thing I hated to see was the homerun cam thing. It ONCE AGAIN shows the players reaction and then all of a sudden you're rounding second base. One time I never did see where the ball went or what it looked like on the homerun.

Luckily I play RTTS where they show it from behind your player, but I can't believe they left that thing in. Most everyone I've seen hates it, but it's still in there.

Did you turn off home run celebrations?

that's why i always turn the home run cam off, i like seeing where the ball's actually going

I played a few games now. One word: Amazing!!!

1. They now have numbers on the helmets, nice touch!

2. I grounded out with Victorino. It showed him handing his helmet to the first base coach. The helmet didn't have side shields. Maybe just a demo thing.

3. Stole a base hit from Upton with Ibanez. Upton went to the dugout and threw his helmet. Noticed that Upton had his hat on. Does he wear his hat under his helmet? If so, awesome attention to detail.

4. I love the new presentation.

Overall, I think this is a huge step forward. Gameplay is much better than last year. I don't even want to put 08 back in knowing that the demo is so much better.

Just played two games with me switching teams each time. The 1st game i was no hit by Kazmir. In the 2nd game I came back and scored 4 runs when i was down 3-0, It sucks that you can't change pitchers because had I faced Lidge I would've lost that game.

I don't even want to put 08 back in knowing that the demo is so much better.

I noticed the same thing with Victorino's helmet, maybe just a demo thing.

And I'm about 99.9% sure Upton doesn't wear his hat under his helmet.

UPDATE:

I turned off my PS3 for a bit, turned it back on and played it again.

NO FRAME-RATE STUTTER at all when the pitcher goes into the wind-up. Seemed to do the trick for me.

Playing in my Dell 2407 in my office. Mint!

Man i wish this would work for me. I already tried this and it didnt work. ARE you playing on 720p?

Did you try renaming your HDMI2 to PC....it worked for humaca.

The one thing I've noticed in the 2 games I've played is it's very homerun happy. However I think that's just a Demo thing, anyways it was very sharp. I hit a lined shot at Longoria which he caught (seemed a lot like 08, it is a demo though), what I really liked was it went to Rollins and just showed his reaction to the catch.

Wow...I did not think a demo could make me stop playing 08. We have plenty of pages of impressions to go by. But, let me put in my .02....Amazing! I'm still bitter the Phillies beat the Dodgers last year, but when a game is so impressive that I have no problems playing with a team I don't like....it's awesome. Kudos SCEA.

Absolutely amazing. I was skeptical that this year wasn't going have that many changes. After playing the game, they changed exactly what needed to be done. The ball moves so much more realistically, the batting and pitching feel much better, the slider explanation is great. I can't even express enough how excited I am to get my hands on this game. The only thing that sucks is I have 4 MBA classes this semester and working full-time, so I'm worried I'm either going to fail my last semester or I'm not going to be able to play much until the summer. UNBELIEVABLE GAME

Interesting, I played the '08 demo like night and day until this one, and I don't ever recall it being in there. Maybe I just never tried.

Because in '08, most of the time he would throw to the pitcher if the pitcher got over ... in here they refined it, where he will most certainly go to first if he is close enough. Something he didnt do as often or at the times where he should have, and it looked wonky throwing to first in '08.

So you are not wrong. It was addressed and feels more natural.
