Hopefully this is fixed in the full version, if not, not a huge deal, will continue to pitch the old way

Wow okay that's cool. Well I must had some weird luck because one game I swear it happened 5 times back to back. Once again, not a big deal at all.

        3rd game on legend:

        Rays 2 6 0
        Phillies (me) 0 3 1

I lost the game, but it was probably the best of all 3.

Rays took an early 1-0 lead because of a throwing Error...I was able to put runners on base against Kazmir, J-Roll walked 2 times (3 BB over 4 Innings, YES!!!!!!!), another VERY REALISTIC INFIELD SINGLE by Ibanez, the best infield single I've ever seen in the show. 3rd Inning Howard up with 2 outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd, but he struck out. In the 4th, Ibanez with the infield single, following a walk by Feliz with 0 outs. Victorino couldn't get the sac-bunt down, it went HIGH in the air and Longoria made a SPECTACULAR catch, that was stunning, never happend in 08. Ruiz grounded into a game ending DP

I gunned down Navarro, he was at first base, Madden called hit and run, Bartlett with a Double, but I was able to get Navarro at homeplate, VERY CLOSE, great new animation at homeplate. In the next at bat, Kazmir hit one to Rolling, he made a diving catch, but lost the ball on the transition, Bartlett saw that and tried to score and it was close AGAIN, but this time the runner was safe.

The field-degradation is huge, what a great feature, thanks SCEA.

Doesn't work for hand signs. When you turn off all indicators it does nothing.

I love baseball games and loved mlb08. needless to say, this demo is unbelievably awesome! I didnt think it could get much better from last year but man, its gonna be a great game.

One thing......i pitch from pitcher view and im stoked about being able to read the catchers signs this year. I understand the signals for the type of pitch he is calling to be thrown and if he wants to locate the pitch inside or out, but have not figured out his signal when he wants the pitch location up or down. any tips on this would be appreciated.

Just out of curiosity, is it possible that we may not be seeing all 4 or 5 animations because this is only a demo? Are there some gameplay animations that are taken out to save space?

I wondered, because that might also explain some of what's been described as "jerky" movement in the demo(no, not the framerate, different topic).

I love batting from the Outfield camera. Just awesome. A little tricky, but I am getting the hang of it. I was awful with it on '08.

Oh, one HUGE negative with the demo: It's going to make the wait until March that much more difficult!

Great job SCEA. This is a fine video game (even if it's not the final build).

No worries anymore about the game being easy. I had a brain fart and forgot all-star wasn't the hardest mode (outside of legend). HOF mode is just right for me at the moment.

I do agree with Mark on the pitch calling thing. I think every pitch is called low and in to lefties or low and away to righties. However, they're pretty spot on with the type of pitches to call (and the pickoffs), which is cool.

I finally won a game on legend, 2-0. I hit a fluke triple past a diving Ibanez that drove in a run and then hit a sac fly right after. I'm going to have a lot of fun on that mode this year.

this happened in 08 the show too...

randomly players become the same height as other players. rollins somehow got taller. I don't know if anyone knows what I'm talking about. it was in mlb 08 and now it's in this demo. hopefully they get rid of that glitch. This is when they're at bat too, not just in cut scenes. sometimes though. he doesn't get taller. I sound dumb if you don't know what I'm talking about.

I noticed that the framerate or something to that nature really slows down and loses fluidity during the pitcher/batter matchup. The pitching and ball delivery weren't very smooth, making it very difficult to follow the flight of the pitch.

Did anyone notice this during the community event? I'm hoping this is a demo issue only.

By the way, hitting seems more difficult this year already, in my opinion. The only 2 homeruns I've hit through 6 games have been walkoffs with Utley on All-Star.

Some have and some have not noticed it in the demo, it was confirmed that this is not at the event version, or in the final game.
