Just played a few innings on 720p. Framerate drop is still there, it happens once you choose your pitch and framerate is smooth once the catcher catches the ball. Not good.

It's a demo. I didn't see any issues when I played. The guys that were at the community day that played a much later version than us, said there is no framerate issues. No worries.

Thats what I am hoping, can't judge the game based of this early build. I still love what they did with the game, overall i'm impressed

Knight i'm refering to the demo. There is framerate problems while batting and pitching

I realize that...but people tend to get a little jittery....not realizing that you guys are playing a build even OLDER than the one we played.
Plus...the game is optimized for 720p

One more thing before I hit up game #2. The catcher calling the game was a bit confusing. I could read what pitch he wanted but after I selected the pitch he would signal location. It appeared that he was always gesturing for a ball down in the zone. I would then hit the L2 button and see that he was actually calling for a ball high, inside, or where ever. I wish you could tell where he wanted location by his set up or hand gesture but it didn't seem to be the case.

Need to get rid of that black 'bar' that covers 1/6th of the screen when you're pitching and pull back on the right stick to pan out...

that is ugly.

No buddy i'm playing the game at 720p and theres framerate problems while batting and pitching. I even called 2 of my boys and asked them and they said the same thing. I just hope it's demo problem only.

Knight said it was a demo only issue.

And I haven't witnessed it or maybe haven't noticed it.

Just finished my first game and i am extremely impressed. and the fact that its a month or so older than what these guys recently played has me fiending for march 3rd. i really like the feel of the hitting, i dont feel as rushed to make a decision on whether to swing or not and as to the location. i like being able to pull the ball. i hit a monster homerun with ryan howard into the second deck in right field. he just stood there and watched it.

and of course the lighting.......what can i say that hasnt already been said one thousand times?? its friggin' beautiful

This game is just beautiful to look at. Geez! It takes '08 to an entirely different level.

No framerate issues here.

Played game on Legend difficulty....

No problem check swinging...in fact I drew a walk with Chase Utley on a 3-2 check swing (Kazmir threw a slider that broke too far outside) Hit a nice double with Chase Utley (line drive over Iwamura's head that went all the way to the wall). This was with 2 outs in the first inning. Next batter Ryan Howard....I hit a 2 run shot to right field that JUST BARELY cleared the wall. It went 341ft and it seemed right. It was really cool seeing the pitch that I hit on the replay and how the catcher was set up away and you can really tell how Kazmir hung it out over the plate. It was a hanging slider.

I'm really liking the hitting so far (I only played 1 game!!). What I like about it is I can take more time to decide if I want to swing or not. I don't know if the swing is just faster now or if the pitch speed is slower. I'm REALLY leaning towards the former. I really think they did something with the swing speed and it feels very realistic and enjoyable. Again this is only on 4 innings of gameplay so more to come...

No framerate issues for me. Just finished my first game on legend.

Legend will be tough, no doubt!

Werth 2 hrs, one of them a grand slam.

Pena's stance is just fine by the way.
