again guy.........im not saying they NEVER happened in 08, it was just harder. the VARIETY of doubles wasnt there due to the speedy outfielders. the guys who posted the sliders and edits will tell you that. so relax, take some deep breaths, its going to be ok. i promise.

Could someone tell me how to record "movies" or replays. I see the tip come up at the beginning of each game but can't seem to figure out how to do it.

dude...i am one of those guys who posted the slider and edits...lol

I see you didnt know that...as I noted that you just joined OS yesterday...

Anywho, that is exactly what I was alluding to. When The Show '08 came out, a TON of folks initially thought the Flash Gordon outfielders and infielders would ruin what was a promising game---but it didn't happen. Of course, a TON of edits and slider adjustments were to be done.

I don't recall ever seeing a ground ball down the line rolling all the way to wall either. I'm kind of seeing the same thing in the 09 demo. Iwamura hit a grounder down the line, but it just died halfway through the grass and he only got a single. There are a lot more liners down the line in the demo which is nice. If I ever saw a grounder down the line spin into foul territory and roll in the dirt to the corner, I would be very happy.

Okay, I know I am going to get slammed for saying this. I am not impressed by the demo. I have played about 10 games. While at its core, it does a fine job representing the sport of baseball, I just find the game lacking in many areas. I feel the graphics are good, but benefit substantially from the lighting. I feel the lighting sugarcoats the lackluster player models. I find fielding to be tremendously boring. I don't like guiding my player to the general area, then watching while the animation takes over. Once again, the game feels scripted. I feel like I have been doing the same thing over and over for years. One button to do everything. Swing, throw, etc. I feel like the game is playing me sometimes. I would be nice to have better control over the type of throws my fielder uses.

This lack of innovation has me sour on this game. I feel like its all been done before. I know this is not going to be a popular opinion, but I felt like I had to say how I feel, and that is disappointed.

Hey, you're entitled to your opinion. Not everybody is going to like it. Some people like it when brand new control schemes are added that change each and every year, and sometimes break things that used to work. Some people like games that don't touch the things that are working fine, and just add to the overall ambience. Some people are in the middle.

If you don't like the game, then don't buy it. As a consumer, you can make that choice. The only thing we want to discourage people from doing is posting in every thread and stating how they hate it and insulting people who do like it. (Not saying that you're going to do it. Just a little forewarning as release date tends to bring out a lot of that type).

I just saw something I hope doesn't become the norm...

Victorino on 2nd with 1-out. Ruiz lines a solid single to LF and I come up expecting to be making a throw to the plate...except that Victorino is still at 2nd.

I went back and watched the replay and Victorino DOVE back into 2nd base on a solid single to LF...I've only seen it once in 3 games, but I hope it's an abberation.
