The demo was pretty good but there were two problems I had if you want to call them that.

1. The game wasn't taking up the whole screen. I tried it in 720p and 1080p but there were still huge black bars around the screen.

2. Did it seem a little too dark to anybody else? I know it was supposed to simulating shadows in a stadium but I thought it seemed a little too dark. It was a little hard to pick up the ball because of this.

All in all a great demo though.

yeah i got the black bars too. just go to the video options and stretch it out.

For the love of god, please do not change the game. Those that what something new look for another game. This is for us that want a game like the Show! DO NOT CHANGE!!!!!! PLEASE! One more thing I hit a little dribbler and as it was going foul Howard hopped over it as he was running down the line. It was unbelievable!

I'm not sure anyone's really complaining, just that it kinda takes the fun out of fielding when the cpu takes over for you and locks you into an animation.

They have manual, assisted, and auto fielding as options, but it feels that everything is assisted or controlled to a degree by the cpu.

I'd love to have to fight the wind to catch a fly ball but I don't. All I have to do is get my player within the catch region and the cpu will take over for me. Kind of a bummer.

So I just got back from an evening run, and it reminded me of somethign I would LOVE to see added to the presentation of next year's Show:

It would be SWEET if they could get the moon in the sky for night games, and the sun in the sky for day games. And added to that, clouds. Even on clear sunny days one can see huge white clouds in the sky, sometimes moving across the sky and periodically blocking out the sun (or moon at night); and smoke trails from jets, etc.

This would really add to an already beautiful look game, especially seeing the sun set with the new progession behind the clouds as evening ascends over the ball park.

Just a thought

Love the demo and the variety. One game finished 6-4 with scoring on hr's, errors and xbase hits. Next game ended on a walkoff hr for a 1-0 victory.

One very strange play however. Man on second for me (phils). Infield mile high popup towards second, second baseman goes to cover second, first baseman covers towards first. RIGHT FIELDER RUNS ALL THE WAY IN FROM HIS POSITION TO CATCH THE BALL. He caught it on the infield dirt! It is a demo, but I hope this was fixed for the final version.

That happened to me two. I thought it was gong to drop in for a minute.

Wow! I just played a six inning game, first inning on veteran, the rest on legendary. Going into the second it was 0-0 with no hits. {i was the phillies} over the cours of 4 innings i gave up 6 hits, 2 walks but no runs even though i was in 2 bases loaded jams. I went hitless until the bottom of the 6. I lead off with a Victorino single, but then he got picked off. Hit oen up the middle with Ruiz that got misplayed so he was on first, stole one due to a bad throw with him then had a bunt hit with hamels. {keep in mind, silnce it's a 4 inning demo this was extra innings}. With ruiz on 3rd and hamels on first i went for a suicide squezze with rollins and one. I was just stunned. I was thinking { i had nevers playen this demo or 08 above veteran, and it took nemesis a couple of games to do it, and in my first game i won!} i mean i was in utter disbelieve, but legen is wicked. I struck out i don't know how many times on a Kazmir slider. Legend makes a 92mph fastball look like 95mph.

Isn't that the beauty of the game? One day you get shut out on 2 hits, the next game you score 7 runs on 15 hits.

that's the price you're gonna pay for those silky smooth animations (and the transitions between them too)

Nemisis, you, Knight, and Jim were all correct about legend. The first time i saw a Kazmir slider in legend, i was like . He struck me out nine times, and atleast 5 were sliders on the last pitch.

Yeah I know Nemisis lol. I was just so excited because i didn't even think i was good enough for all-star in the demo let alone legend. But im in shock about how hard and how much different legend is, and im extremely impressed from the demo, and that's an older build than you guys played!

playing with the wind slider in '09 demo changes speed but direction is always left to right. I take it that's because we're essentially playing the same part of the game over and over with same time of day and sky conditions etc..
can't wait to see the affect of wind speeds and directions in the real game.
