Cool I was worried about this also. I had a fly ball and my outfielder was jogging to get it I was thinking run, run, run, then finally he actually started running but it was too late, missed the ball. I had the analog stick full-bore.
I hope it is the demo.

I dont think it really matters. Just hold R2 for a sec to see the strike zone if you have it off. I dont ean to be preaching to the choir
I'm just saying that I don't know my player's exact strike zone because it's dependent on their height and not their stance. So there are times when I don't know if I should be taking that high pitch or not, you know what I'm saying?

Even if you have the strike zone turned off, you can still view it by pressing R2.

So when you are ahead in the count and are expecting say a high fastball, and get it, you didn't feel that that advantage gave you an extra lift?

I just played a game where I was batting for both teams. I got thrown out on a close play at first (I was Iwamura) and he started arguing with the ump and got tossed! Oh and I didn't know Chris Coste's stance was so wild....he was put in as a pinch hitter and again whoa!

I wish 09 had better throwing animations especially for outfielders... example; when they catch a fly-ball and try and throw a runner out that is tagging up, they don't look like they get enough behind the throw...their arm should wind-up and follow-through more...but it 09, they do a crow-hop and throw a short-armed throw that somehow gets a lot behind it. This needs to be fixed to look more realistic...

this is probably a dumb question but how long is the demo gonna be up for download. i haven't had a ps3 very long so i haven't gotten a chance to download any demos. I just ask because the earliest i can get home is Friday and i just want to make sure that the demo will still be there.

Yes I feel i have an extra advantage when i guess the pitch but I have a mental advantage. In real life if I guess a pitch correct a red dot isnt going to come up on the screen and give me a couple seconds to get ready and muscle up and crank it over the wall. I turn it off so when I guess right I have that mental preparation advantage which prepares me to hit the ball where i want to. Thats what i mean.

Guys like Chase and Werth are fine and look pretty awesome but while the motion of Jimmy's bat is perfect, it is WAY too fast. Shane is the same way but his stance is more true to his style. The way Jimmy lifts his foot waiting is PERFECT but that bat speed needs to come down considerably.

                            Can that happen Chris?

                            Jimmy - Too fast
                            Werth - Perfect
Chase - Bat needs to come down lower but great job with front leg and the way he holds the bat.
Ryan - Pefect(was in the game last year)
                            Raul - Fine
Vic - Perfectly fine(love the high leg kick)
Pedro - Same as last year...Fine with me.
Ruiz - Great bat motion, its perfect...but like Jimmy's its way to fast.

Just some observations but man does it make batting with these guys so much more fun!
Yes....Some of these guys were tweaked before release...

                            A couple of notes though..

I thought Rollins up on his toe was perfect also, then I looked at more video. I couldn't find any on mlb.com that had him up on his toe in his stance.

Chase is another one that we didn't change. Looked at a lot of video of him as well. Not sure how much lower you would want his hands. I am not saying he never holds them lower, but I found a bunch of video like this:

Yea, in a PM to Ericjwm I said Utley's hands were fine(No idea why I didn't say it here, my fault)

As far as Jimmy, His leg lift is really subtle and doesn't do it all the time(just like some players who make tiny changes). Wish I could find his '07 highlights, I bet it shows a lot better there.
