How dark it is at the start of the game depends on the day of the year so don’t be surprised if your spring training game is dark at 7pm. All of these little details add together to help immerse you in the game, and bring you back to the core - playing hardball.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60 -

Argh no White Sox in the video. Looks like I'm going to have to make do with the Colon and BA screenshot until the game comes out. Oh and 1 criticism of the video, the guy said "If a stadium has it, we have it." Which isn't entirely true since they haven't been able to incorporate fireworks just yet. Despite that, I still can't wait for this game, it is going to be amazing!!
We've beaten that horse enough, this video was disgusting.
I wish I could fall asleep for 3 weeks straight.Comment

Great job SCEA
The only thing missing now is fireworks after homeruns for the teams that have them like the Indians. Also their red bill on their batting helmet for home. I still commend you for what you added this year though. Now please release the game early so we can really enjoy it. LOL
Thanks SCEA team

I just hope that when Sony does add Fireworks they only have them at the ball parks that have them after Home Runs in real life. Because not all ball parks have Fireworks after a player hits a Home Run
I guess Sony will have to research this.
I remember in MVP Baseball 2005 Fireworks went off at every ball park after a Home Run. And a lot of people hated that!!!
SONY ROCKS!!!Comment

I traded in my 360 last year for MLB 08 (and blu ray)
and I have never looked back.
I bought MLB 2k8 and 1 day later traded it all in, the guy at gamestop juts laughed, turns out I wasnt the first guy to do it.
I thought 08 was perfect and now that ive seen 09 it looks like it will be the last baseball game I buy until the new generation of gaming systems!Comment

EDIT: I would think that as long as the game goes from day to dusk then you would see shadows progress.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

It would be neat if they added chewing tobacco, bubble gum chewing, and spitting out sesame seeds LOL Just an idea hmmLast edited by baseball88; 02-11-2009, 09:33 AM.Comment

Wow. This was the best blog in my mind. Some of the things that wow'd me was the Ivy in Wrigley filed turning green as the season progressed and Mr. Met getting down with the fans and having a dance off. Man this wait is killing me.PSN: ckarlic

If there was chewing tobacco, the only person that I would really want to see have this is Chipper Jones, with that sexy bulging cheek of his.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Now release the game already LOL
It would be nice to get it before my birthday YUM YUM
Let's play baseball everyone. I can't wait to see the first name and last names added
if the announcers say the full name or not.
I hope they added more hairstyles for the create and edit the player.Comment

I agree about the shadows. Considering how much detail went into this game (ie. the Ivy in Wrigley field turning colors..I didnt even think of that) im pretty sure SCEA thought of this.PSN: ckarlic
