Thats a good point, however its hard to forgive someone who keeps claiming they are not guilty!

I don't forgive anyone, don't care who they are, that breaks historic records in baseball by cheating the game.

Bonds is one of many tragic figures from the juice era. I don't know what drives a guy with so much God given talent to chance ruining his health and reputation just to feed his ego.

I guess I'm old and old fashioned, I remember when the word integrity meant something...

I only have respect for the players who earned their records.

Roger Maris holds the single season Home Run record and Hank Aaron holds the lifetime Home Run record...Never be convinced otherwise!

First off I'll say that if he got hit by a falling satellite I wouldn't be too upset.

With that being said, I do like to create him because I like pitching against the cyber Bonds. It's a tough matchup and e makes you think in those close ballgames.

I'm sure they'll have the Stocker stance in this years game.

Are you kidding? I don't care what the guy did, he's one of the top ten players of all time and I will always be a fan of his. I love how much people hate him actually, makes me like him even more.

Oh wait, this is a video game (and baseball) forum. Therefore, the argument presented by you, while being completely acceptable and logical in the real world, shouldn't really be used in this particular setting.

I'm sure if I put up a poll, the ratio would be about 30:1 favoring the "no" crowd, but I think that I'm going to. His perjury trial is the day before this game's release I believe, and being the Giants (with a new owner), I'm going to create the guy and give him one more chance. Hopefully there's a stance close enough to him (and no, Sheffiled, Weeks, and Renteria do not bad like Bonds).

And for the guys that are going to jump into season instantly, what of Ramirez and Dunn? If they aren't signed by the time you buy it, are you going to hold off and find out where they get signed? Are you going to jump on and sign them?

(EDIT: Looks like Dunn's case is solved, as he just signed with Washington)

This game can't come soon enough!


P.S. Does anyone know the maximum age that can be set on this game? What was it for '08?

IF....IF....he has been picked up by a team, I will create him and assign him....sure, why not. Although I think it is unlikely he will be playing....

Oh yeah...I agree with CountryBoy.....no forgiving on my part....cheating in baseball that results in the breaking of so many historic records....no way....he messed with some sacred stuff there...

Ill make him but keep him on the free agents. I'd be nice to see someone in my division sign him so I can peg him everytime hes up to bat like i do with a-rod
