Dumb gameplay question from a newbie

I'm new to The Show franchise, and just bought a PS3 because of this one game (I'm a 360 junkie). My question is...in the demo, can you change your pitcher and/or fielders? If so, how?

You cannot change them in the demo in the traditional way. A pitcher would have to be hurt or thrown out for a sub to be made.

I hit 15 batters in a row with Hamels and the ump would not toss me, I finally gave up.

After hitting batters to run up the score, switch teams so the CPU will change for you, then you can switch back.

That's what I do. If it gets later in the game I just switch teams and let the CPU do it for you.Then just switch back.

Thanks for the info. My next question is logical...if you hit 15 batters in a row in the retail version, I assume you'll be tossed, right (hopefully after alot less than 15 batters)? I'm surprised this functionality wouldnt have been in the demo...unless it appears they really didnt want the user to have the ability to access the bullpen.

You will not be able to hit 15 batters in the retail version. You will be tossed way before that. SCEA probably caught on to what everyone was doing and did not make it as accessible as past demos.

All you have to do is hit the 15 batters, then change teams. There will be a pitching change and all you have to do is change back to your team and pitch with your new pitcher.
