AHHH, these street dates make me mad. Its pure torture. I don't understand why they just don't send an email out, telling stores to release the game early, if it ships out early. I mean, you put out this great demo, tease us with this incredible game. Then we find out is ships out a week early, but we can't buy it for a week unless we get lucky that someone releases it early? FUNK THAT. Thats freakin torture. The only thing worse, would be to put the game in my face, and tell me I have to wait a week to play it. Sucks!

Why is it stores can take full payment to reserve a copy but can't let you have it before the release date? Seems to me if they already have my cash it doesn't really matter when they give me my game.
I used to buy CD's from a store pre-street date and the guy who owned it wouldn't give me a receipt so there was no proof. Sounds shady I know but everyone got what they wanted and everyone was happy.

What get's me is, game makers have no problem pushing dates OUT when there product is going to be late. All they do is send an email to game stores, so they know of the new date. So it should be just as easy to send out an email moving the date IN. Those guys at SCEA probably do this every year on purpose, just to watch us all salivate at the aspect of possibly getting the game early somewhere lol. They probably make bets like that movie Rat Race lol, on who can find the game first. This is the week that SCEA offices turn into a theathre, and they just sit back and be completly entertained by all this. J/K SCEA!

Millennium, I know that you said the place isn't selling it early. My brother goes to school up there and he sent me a text saying they said they should have it on the shelves ready to go on thursday. Just FYI on conflicting information.

Ok, I was checkin in w/ the people I know. No stores in the SE NY/NJ area at the least have it in their shipments today. They say either tomorrow, or the day after is the day they will definitely have them in the store (even though they can't sell until the third )

I just got this info as well, but I also have a place now closer to me in Baltimore that should have it by the end of the week.

You will have the game on the street date with overniight. They will ship the game on the 2nd. Ive done this in the past and it never failed. Ive always gotten the game on street date. You should be good.

If the site still says street date guarantee, you'll have it on the third.Place the order, and call customer support for comfirmation.

Thanks! I just checked on Gamestop.com and it does say street date guarantee, so I should have it on the 3rd. I'm still going to be looking out for it the next few days though. If not, at least I'll have killzone 2 here on friday

I will once again suggest Sony stores. I mean, Sony can't fine Sony, can they? A couple Sony Stores released the game early in Toronto last year. While I will not be checking any, as I have exams that don't end until the 2nd, hopefully some people here can pick it up early.
