Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions

I've played 3 games on default Legend and lost all 3 thus far. All 3 were Cards(me) vs Rays using the 1/3/5 starters.

I lost the first game 4-2, the 2nd game 11-0, and lost the final game 5-4 in 13 innings.

I screwed up the last game, had a runner on 2nd with no outs in the bottom of the 11th and Schumaker popped up the bunt and Navarro laid out to snag it and then gunned down Ryan at 2nd base.

Oh the and difference between the top tier pitchers and the lower tier pitchers is very noticable.

    I am loving this level.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I'm playing in SD in may....and everyone has no sleeves except the 2 starting pitchers Blanton and Baek....

hopefully some others can confirm that the sleeves issue ins't broken, but it looks fine to me.

I don't know, but I'm sure the devs jumped right on the one about the ball off the plate.
        We'll see.

I know there are fans of other teams at stadiums this year, do they make an impact as far as crowd noise is concerned?

Just wondering if auto fielding is included in the game (I'll be new to the game on tuesday) I don't like to control the fielders running, just their throws like in 2k and MVP series, just wondering if they got the same thing for this game as well.

not that I've noticed green. In fact, I think the crowd is less vibrant/vocal in the final build vs the demo. Maybe just me(under the weather..)

Yes, Auto field, manual throw, or Auto field, auto throw.

Another user on the boards here lives in NY, he used to live in RI and was coming to visit friends and his parents. He picked up a few copies of the game and met up with myself and a couple others.

The extra money he made covered his purchase of the game. Fair deal that worked out for all involved.

I don't think you'll find it in RI until release day

                          Hmm, weird.

Anyone experiment with the AI lineup changes in Franchise mode, specifically after injuries?

                            - Is there a franchise news/headline tracker like 2K's MLB.COM where I can read things about my franchise and also the MLB on a day to day basis with pictures as well?

                            - I've seen pics of a Tony Gwyn statue outside of Petco Park in San Diego, is there something like this shown for each team outside the stadium prior to a franchise game.?

                            - How does the CPU handle the trading of star players?

                            - How does the CPU handle free agent signings?

                            - Is there a GM aspect of the franchise mode where I can change ticket prices, transportation, overall budget, and is there any owner goals that I have to meet?

                            - Do players have personality traits that will effect either team chemistry or free agent signings?

i was curious about something....if you get time, can u play as the indians at home in jacobs field (progressive field = ghey!) and see how or if there is any crowd activity on the HR Porch in LF......like if there is a crowd up there and if they move around at all......if you get a chance to hit a HR up there that would be nice to see how that is

                              thanks!

maybe they can patch that, especially since 70% of my show playing is in RTTS.
