Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions
It's still early for me, but I'm playing on VET and ALLSTAR, default sliders, pitch speed down all the way to the left. I'm doing fine, line drives, bloopers, have hit two home runs, but it's still too early to decide what level/sliders (if needed) I'll play on. I'm going to wait until the patch comes out (supposedly next week) before I start my franchise, but this game just feels so much better than 08 so far.
I'm just going to keep playing some exhibition games, enjoy the stadiums and decide what it will be later. But, I like what I see so far. Oh, I turned SWING INFLUENCE off.Comment

Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions
I'm playing on default right now as nothing has jumped out at me that I have to change anything. I do have the pitch speed slider all the way to the left. Not a dramatic change in pitch speed, but it helps me a bit.Comment

Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions
Last year I averaged about 40 hits a game (just kidding), but I was using swing only and even on HOF hitting the ball all over the place, even though I was LATE on almost everything.

Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions
I read sometime, somewhere on some thread,
that having a second controller will help with something(edits, something to do with controlling 2nd team moves or I can't remember..)
Refresh my memory please..have a gift card for $110 and would like to use for The Show and 2nd controller if I'm thinking right.
Thanks as always,

You can control 2 teams, however, with ROSTER CONTROL ON, you can control ALL teams regarding trading players, putting guys in minors, etc.Comment

Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions
Does anyone have the ps2 version yet?
If so, are the fake minor leaguer players available to edit before franchise this year?
I have a feeling they might be, because the addition of 40 man rosters. They had to re-structure how their roster database was(kolbe said that was why they hadn't been in for 07 or 08). I know they have a different format of how the teams rosters are on the ps3 version, and hope they are like that on the ps2 version so we can edit fake minor leaguers before we start a franchise.Comment
