Maybe I'm just a moron and missing it but can somebody tell me where the play by play is that you can listen to for online games currently going on? IS it on the PS3? OR is is on the internet? I'd like to check it out but can't seem to find where it is.

Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions
The game is great, but in simming a season, I found alot of lopsided trades such as trading cole hamels for mark ellis. I was really bummed about that.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions
Well, I put in about six hours with the game today/tonight and I'm beat. At this point my focus and concentration is gone, I was chasing so many bad pitches the last game I played.
I played four complete games, going 3-1.
Won at home vs Boston
Won at Citifield
Won at home vs Cinncy
Lost at Fenway, Burnett gave up six in the first.
Then I started up a RTTS with Leroy "Dirtbag" Jenkins and proceeded to go 3-37 to start the Spring before saving and bowing out. Not sure if I'll pick that one up, young Dirtbag is the king of weak groundballs.
So in all of those six hours of gameplay I drew exactly one walk, lol. Some of it was anxiousness to try the new hitting engine as often as possible, some is my typical lack of patience. On default settings the CPU seems to throw way too many strikes. I was trying to take pitches and get ahead in the count and the CPU was pounding the strike zone.

Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions
Definitly better then last year. I'm really liking the way the pitching coach comes out when you do your first mound visit. Also it's great that they show the coach/manager walking to the mound. So far most of the real life pitching coaches and managers seem to be in the game. Gameplay much improved.OREGON STATE BEAVERS 2007 COLLEGE WORLD SERIES CHAMPSComment

Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions
Game is FIRE but having one issue....
Anyone else having this problem? When I go to start a season, I load my saved rosters. However when I go to the lineups area my lineups are out of wack and not like I have them on my roster file....for ex. I moved A-rod to cleanup on my file yet for some reason he is still in the 3 hole. It seems like all the roster adjustments I made on my roster file are not translating to my season. Even when I go within the season to edit the lineups they still are messed up when I go to the pregame lineup screen...WTF!!!!!
The roster in my season reflects edits, walkup music, etc but the damn lineups are messed up..HELPComment

Ehh...Was the computer pitching like '08 where if the attack the SZ early, you beat them at their own game and swing early...Then if you get enough hits, they switch it up and throw more balls?Comment

Re: MLB 09: The Show - Impressions
I got a chance to play one game tonight and it was incredible. Just this one game alone has me never looking back at 08. I played as the Indians at Progressive Field at night vs the White Sox and loved the day-night progression. I ended up winning 6-3 with Cliff Lee picking up the win and Kerry Wood getting the save. I was over 60 games into a franchise with 08 up until a month ago and hadn't hit a HR all season with Ryan Garko and sure enough, my first ever AB with him this year he hits one way up in the left field bleachers. Other than solo shots to Thome and Dye, Lee was very good notching 8 Ks in 7IP.
I had 3 doubles of which 2 would not have been in last year's game. One thing I really liked that I hadn't heard about was the announcers show and talk about the distances down the lines, alleys and straight away. All 9 of my Indians batters had unique stances which was sweet and I tried out some of their custom music and it worked great.Comment
