Re: MLB 09 The Show Pictures & Videos
Has anyone done a video showing the different camera views? I'm really thinking about getting this, and would love to see the different hitting, pitching, and fielding views.
Besides that...any good video(s) that might show a good variety? Not sure I could get used to pitching from the batter view.Steam: BahnzoComment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Pictures & Videos
Well I can't say there are any teams I really despise, but you are more than welcome of course to pick some teams and run with it. Any that you would be interested in doing, I would say go for it. If we overlap, there would be nothing wrong with extra videos.
I am currently half way through editing the Dodgers video. I also have some news on the video editing front. I made an impulse purchase yesterday afternoon and picked up an HD-PVR. This allows me to take HD (or near HD) footage directly from gameplay. The footage takes a while to convert into usable formats, but now anything in the game is fair game for these videos, and they will be drastically better quality. I can now record gameplay and cutscenes, which gives me a lot more to work with.
The dodgers video will most likely be the last video I do using the replay save format. And it looks like the Yankees video will be the first in the new format. I recorded roughly two games worth of yankees video footage last night while testing out the HD-PVR. I really am annoyed with being stuck at work with so many more "important" things I could be doing at home. :wink:Comment

P.S. Thanks for doing this!Comment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Pictures & Videos
I have searched for years for a relatively simple (and effective) way to capture gameplay videos. I never invested in a graphics card that could do it, because my computer isn't really up to specs to run most of them. The PVR box handles most fo the load in this system, and just transfers to file on the pc via a usb connection.
p.s. now that I can capture cut scenes, it guarantees you will see Rivera's trot from the bullpen in the Yankees video. I alreeady have it recorded.Comment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Pictures & Videos
Awesome news! I can't wait to see the final result. While playing the game I've thought to myself, "it would be cool to capture video of the cut scenes." It's great to hear that you can do that now.Comment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Pictures & Videos
Yeah it opens the door to so many more elements that make up the emotion of the game. The celebrations, interactions with base coaches and managers, dugout scenes, mascots, walkups, stadium pan shots, wide angle replays from "upper deck" camera angles that follow the play that you can't do effectively in the replay system. Also the cool cutscenes that happen when you wait too long to pitch. Also home run scenes that actually allow you to watch the ball clear the fence.
It will take some set up, but you will also be able to capture walk offs, and special celebrations such as world series (I am assuming there is some sort of world series celebration scene?)Comment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Pictures & Videos
I am kind of caught in a file gathering and prep period at the moment on my vids. I do have the LA video 2/3 done and should finish it up tonight. I am also playing with the new footage for the yankees and will start piecing that together soon as well. Anyway, check back later tonight and you might get a look at the dodgers montage.

Re: MLB 09 The Show Pictures & Videos
Juan Rivera's 2 Homeruns vs. the A's in my MOM season.
First one is a solo shot off of Dana Eveland in the 2nd inning.

And I will simply call this one "Walk Off"
